Oh jennie great to have some company, think it'd be lovely to keep in touch with each other during PG's and also great for new BFPs to come over and chat, get advice/support/reassurance.
Think it would be nice to come here too as some of us still on meds ect so we could compare notes.

I know at the start i was v v nervous so didn't join mum to be club for age's, kinda felt a bit lost/at sea. Might be nice for new BFPs to check in here initally.

Really hope and pray all the lovely ladie's over on the iui/ivf/12 months thread are joining us very very soon :lvs :lvs :lvs :lvs :lvs :lvs

As for me am doing ok, getting nervous again as 1st hospital appt next week so please god a scan to put my mind at ease.

Do they ask much about IVF ect at 1st appt??, i had a very rocky start so know i'll need to fill them in on that *)

Great idea for a thread, ever hopeful! Like you, I feel odd posting on the P&B forum, especially as we haven't even had our eight week scan. It feels like tempting fate, but at the same time I'm dying to do it! So your IVF thread is a great compromise. After all we went through to get to this point, there's a real feeling of 'now what?', isn't there?!

I actually rang the fertility clinic today to ask if I should be doing anything between now and the scan, like seeing my GP. She said I could if I wanted but that many people leave it until eight weeks, just to be sure everything is okay. Which rang true for me, as I won't really feel properly, safely pregnant until we've seen that little heart beating. :lvs

Obviously I can't answer your question about IVF and your first appointment, although I would imagine it's all the one once you've made it that far. I'll be dying to hear how you get on - being just a step or two behind you, I will get all the benefit of your experience!

Hi jennie.g, good to hear you're enjoying your pregnancy! :wv

Congrats on your pregnancies girls. I have a one year old DD who was conceived through IVF and she is the best thing that has ever happened to us :-) About your first appointment: my fertility clinic sent a letter to my consultant before the appointment and he had it in his files. He just read though it and didnt really ask many questions. I felt the main difference was that I had a definite due date as the due date predicted from your scans can vary with each scan so it can lead to confusion. But at least with IVF you can be certain of the date and ignore any dates predicted by your scan.

Hi girls,

Ever hopefull, Well like liberty said clinic should forward on a letter to ur cons with all details, never really had anyone asking too many questions about the IVF anything they did ask was more out of nosiness than relevance to pregnancy.
Would be great to get loads of stories up here and we could let the girls know about it on IVF/IUI thread and it would give them a bit more hope seeing the positive outcomes.

Roxanne will be great when you get to see that heartbeat for the first time am sure ur really excited about it. :o)ll :o)ll

Was only back in hospital on Tues and all progressing well with me both babies weighing 2lb 4oz each which is great for this stage. Only 10/11 weeks left for me now, as they wont let me go over 38 weeks on twins.

Oh Rox hun welcome aboard, you are not alone, i still feel like i'm tempting fate being here, my best tip is just take each day as it comes, roll on 2 weeks for your scan, will you put up a ticker after scan?? I waited till we saw heartbeat, kinda felt bit real when i had my own ticker.
Did you have 2 embies transferred, oh i wonder will you have double the joy :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll

Liberty welcome hun, many congrats on your LO :wv :wv

Jennie god cant believe you are on the home stretch now, doesn't feel like that long ago you did your IVF, babs are great weights, would say you have a fine bump on ya now :lvs :lvs :lvs

As me me i'm a nervous wreck about appt on tuesday, just very worried that things not ok in there :-8
God i really thought ttc ect was the hard bit, i haven't stopped worrying since BFP, what am i like
Oh and hospital rang me yesterday to confirm i'm coming in next week, i asked had clinic sent over letter about me and its there already so thats a relief, just bit concerned that they'd have my ohss info and also injections ect i was on till 12 weeeks.

jennie.g, our scan is in a week and a half - July 22nd. A million years away!

It's so exciting you're having twins. We had two embryos transfered and to begin with we kept talking about 'the babies'. Then we realised that we didn't want to be disappointed if it turned out we we 'only' having one baby - one baby would be such a blessing! So we've talked ourselves out of the possibility of twins just in case. But it would be wonderful... :-8

ever hopeful not long until your hospital appointmnet now - how are you feeling?

Isn't it brilliant about olshue? :o)ll Hopefully she'll be joining us on this thread now!

Oh roxanne its so exciting waiting to find out if its 1 or 2 like u I tried to focus on it being 1 baby but its always in the back of ur mind it might be 2 :eek :eek

Ever hopefull I should know between 33-35 weeks if I'm gonna be sectioned as at that stage there's no room left for babies to move so if twin 1 is breach they will book my section for week 38. I dont know if we ever stop worrying whilst pregnant as if we didn't have enough worries getting to this stage, its then another 9 months of it all again!!

Great news about Olshue as there's been a few disapointments in the last week, it will keep the girls spirits up please god O:o) O:o)

Hi Ladies.

I'm cautiously joining this thread.
I'm delighted to be here of course - just a bit nervous cos it's so early.

How's everyone doing?

Roxanne, not long till your scan. How you hanging up? You're probably as nervous as what you were when you were about to test. There's always something to worry about, isn't there! Goodluck with it, I'm sure you'll see at least one (possibly two) strong heartbeat.

Jennie, I can't believe you only have 10 or 11 weeks left! That's mad! How you feeling? Do you feel the two kicking alot now? Do you know the sexes of the babies? Or are you & hubbie leaving it for a surprise?

Ever Hopeful, goodluck with your upcoming scan. I'm sure all will be fine - but I know that if I were in your position, I'd be nervous too! I think when you've been TTC for a while, you just want everything to work out in the end. Fingers crossed all will be well! I can't believe you're already in 2nd trimester!

As for me, I had a stabbing lower back pain, on my RHS, all day yesterday, but thankfully it's gone today. At the moment, I just have a very dull ache in my lower abdomen. Nothing sore - just noticeable.

How did all you ladies feel in the very early days of your pregnancy? Is there anything I should/shouldn't do to encourage this pregnancy? (I'm just really antsy, cos I couldn't bear to m/c again). Basically any hints and tips would be much appreciated!

BTW, great idea to start this thread!

As for advice on the early days............. just take it one day at a time, am still doing this tbh, rest as much as you can and try to eat well, now i found this hard as all i wanted was carbs. Like jennie i paniced over every ache and pain ect, oh and just be warned i had af cramps from week 6-10 and was convinced af was on her way, was on crazy knicker watch to make sure she didn't arrive :o0 :o0
