LadyLayla ... I'm so glad to hear that the bleed can be explained and that baby is ok. That must be a high weight off your mind. God you must have had an awful fright last night :(

LadyLayla & SweetBaby T, we might bump into each other at some point over our journeys, we're all due around the same time & going to CUMH. I have my dating scan on 28th May & by god the weeks are dragging!! I'm just thankful I went for the early scan in Babyscan otherwise I wouldn't be able to cope!

Hi girls,

Havent been on in ages.How are you all keeping?Im 8 weeks today.How are you Mummyme?

Ive been really sick with ms and it was lasting all day.Was surviving on pasta alone as my dinner and now the toughts of pasta makes me wanna hurl.

Hyper I had hives for the whole of my first pregnancy, the doctors did lots of tests but said that it happens some women and all I could put on it was calimine lotion, it was getting really bad at the end with all the itching and was so hard to sleep but they couldnt give me anything for it.

Hi all,

I'm 10 weeks 3 days today. Have my hospital appointment on friday the 25th of may. it really can not come quick enough :o)ll

Morning sickness has eased a small bit thank god. It was depressing feeling so bad. Am doing very little exercise so need to get my ass in gear there. I'm already having imaginary conversations in my head about how I'm going to announce the news to people

it's so exciting.

I feel so sorry for those of ye with hives. That sounds like torture. Can't believe that there is nothing at all that you can take for it, bar calamine lotion. Hope it clears up soon.

Newmrsa, that's so sad about your sisters wedding. Hope she'll be alright. You sound like you are doing doing a good job being there for her. Keep doing all them practical things like cancelling suppliers and helping her tell people. Maybe you could take her out for lunch and a good chat away from the housew. I'm sure when the time is right you can tell her about your news and hopefully she'll be happy and excited for you. It might even give her a boost.

Aw its going to be very hard on her for a long while. It's really tough when she is older and dying to get married and have children. I think there has been topics on situations like this before. I don't know how you'd find them but I bet there is good advice from people who have been through it.

NewMrsA, thats awful about your poor sister, im sure with lots of love and support she'll pull through it, time is a great healer.

Well I had my scan last night, all went great, LO is doing great, even measuring a day older this time - last scan it was a day behind! The thing is though i couldnt help but be a bit dissappointed by the picture on the screen, i thought it was very bad quality, like trying to see eveything through snow. My first scan in the EPU was crystal clear, maybe this was because it was a transvaginal scan. My bladder was extremely full - very uncomfortable!!, so there was no issue with that. It was impossible to make out limbs, you could just about distinguish between the head and body. The sonographer said it was exactly as it should be but i wasnt too impressed if im honest, maybe i was expecting too much. Anyway the heartbeat was beating away very clearly so that was fab to see.

Anyone else have the same experience with BabyScan?

SweetBabyT, I found the same when my scan in Babyscan. The quality of the picture isn't great at all - baby just looks like a fuzzy blob! It's definitely because that's an abdominal scan rather than a transvaginal though - my scans from the EPU were so much clearer even though they were taken weeks earlier. Apparently it's something to do with the sound waves - they can get a higher resolution image with the transvaginal scans because the probe is so much closer to the baby.

But on the bright side, by the 12 week scan you should be able to see things much more clearly, even with an abdominal scan.

Thanks for the reply, Im glad im not the only one who found this, good to know about the transvaginal scan, there really is a huge difference. As you say, the next one at 13 weeks should be fantastic, loads to see and lots of movement!!

Glad to hear everyones scans are going well.I got baby scan done too with my DS and it wasnt clear either.In fact the scans in the hospital werent much better until you have your 20 week scan in the hospital aka the BIG SCAN and they look at everything and you will get really clear pics then .Im not going to get an early scan going to wait till the hospital at 13 weeks and then again at the hospital at 20 weeks when they do the big scan.

Im dying to know how you are all going to break the good news to your families?With DS DH gave the pic of the scan to my mam and just said look at this pic and then she started jumping up and down.Dunno what we will do this time though.

I had a few private scans last time done at innervision, 100% times better than the hospital. The private ones are much much better and the hospitals scans are rushed and grainey and not that great.

Just dont expect too much from the hospital scans to be honest!

Anon2009, I'm thinking after my 12 week scan, I'm going to put the picture on a sheet of paper with 'see you in December Granny/Grandad' printed on it & leave it in an envelope for my parents, but it's just a thought. It's our first so have no experience in telling people.
