nwr; weird foods we love

following on from the beans topic, i was laughing away to myself at how many people don't like beans (can't understand how though....) so i thought i'd entertain myself even more by starting this one .....i'l go..


i love sprouts - especially left overs, heated up in the microwave with butter and black pepper
i eat bowls of mashed potato/baby boiled, heated up, with butter and pepper

i have a serious addiction to corn on the cob and sweetcorn, it's ridiculous i'd eat the stuff every day if i could!!

mushy peas make me gag

my mother's christmas stuffing - i stand by the oven spoon ready to grab a big mouthful every year without fail, she now cooks a seperate bowl of it just for me!!

chocolate and popcorn together

apple and cheese sandwichs

cheese and crisp sandwiches

Risotto is my favourite dish but also love all types of potatoes. Absolutely love crisps and chocolate together - yum!

OMG other people eat apple sando's my mam LOVES THEM you weirdos :lol:


Popcorn with vinegar

Cheese and brown sauce on crackers

Mush peas with brown sauce,butter & salt

Celery & garlic mayo(so so bold)

Turnip and mash with lots of butter salt and pepper

Thats all i can think of:-
is there any lovers of meat/poultry with egg i think thats weird,like chicken with egg mayo on a sandwich :shock: :?

I'm a bit crazy when it comes to food, I hate alot of normal things and love things that most people eat.

I Love Kidney, rolled in flour and fried!!

I could live on white pudding, but only the real thing from the butchers smooth, no bits.

Cheese, crisp and mayo sandwiches.

Curry beans, not the ones in the tins though, normal beans with curry powder.

Boiled sausages...

Mam's stuffing with cocktail sausages, like you Neadi she makes me a bowl of my own.

I have a serious affair with mashed potato, I make heaps of it and eat it hot or cold watching a film when H2B is tucking into Ben & Jerrys.

I love cream eggs mixed with vanilla icecream or Fluff with ice cream, and icecream, banana and toffee sauce on pancakes.

I can't eat sprouts (I was force fed them as a child), Cabbage or mushy peas. Don't do roast potatoes either.

Can't think of anything else but I'm sure I will.

Mashed potatoes & petits pois all mixed up with loads of Heinz Tomato Ketchup, accompanied by fish fingers

Birds Eye Vegetable Quarter Pounders

Hazelnut yoghurt & Flake mixed together

Savoy cabbage & red onion steamed & then stir-fried in sesame oil

Green beans with Caesar dressing

Canned sweetcorn heated in the microwave with loads of buhher

O'Briens Tomato Wrappo with Ballymaloe Relish, Chicken, Red Onion & BEETROOT (I love pickled veg of any description)

Sardines in Tomato Sauce mashed onto really hot, real buttered Brennans Pan

I just love mincemeat (you know the kind for the mince pies at Christmas), I eat it out of the jar with a tea-spoon.

Also love jelly before it has been dissolved, popcorn with chocolate, apples and chocolate spread oh and apples with sugar on top, yummy

I love a bowl of boiled rice with Ketchup.. so tasty...

What else...em..can't think of what other weird foods combo's I like.... I know there are probably loads...

I love tomato ketchup sandwiches. Most other things I eat are pretty normal. I do like mashed banana sandwiches with rasberry jam. Must be real butter.

I never realised I have such "normal" food tastes untill I nearly brought my brekkie up reading this thread!
I do eat sprouts though but only at Christmas after they've been cooked in the water from the ham till they're really soft, now thats yum

I love the following (in no paticular order) :D

Limes - sliced. I could suck on them all day :oops:
Onion - raw or cooked, I'm not fussy :shock: (it's ok, hubby loves them too)
Celery - again raw or cooked
White pudding
Brussel Sprouts
Roasted parsnip and onion
Marrowfat Peas - the proper ones that you have to soak overnight. I could easily eat a whole box :shock:
Crispy chicken skin - yummm
Cheese & onion crisps with salted peanuts, together in the same bag.

Jayz, what would I be like if I was ever pregnant :shock: :shock:

When I was a kid, I used to love triple decker sandwiches of smooth peanut butter, chocolate spread & raspberry jam... my teeth are aching just thinking about it!

Now I am partial to the odd slice of peanut buhher on Brennans Pan, or peanut buhher & celery sticks
