We (myself and H2B) bought a two-bed apartment in D4 and we're not loaded by any means! Its funny - living in town is great but the dream would be to get some land within commuting distance of Dublin and build a house and stables on it. People say that buying in Dublin is expensive but unless I win the Euromillions I cant see my dream coming true for a long time!!

Hi
Ours is a 4 bed detached in the country - Westmeath/Longford border. Big back garden - huge sitting room and kitchen and big extension/sun room which we don't know what to do with - so far it has been a game room, dining room, gym, dogs room and now a mini sitting room with a portable tv.
We hope to be here for many years as I love the peace and quiet - big culture shock from Dublin though and took a while to get used to

We have a 4 bed detached house in a small village just outside Dundalk, the usual contents - 1 bathroom , 4 beds 1 ensuite, 2 sitting rooms, large kitchen, dinning room & utility room and toilet.

We are by no means well off - had looked at apartments in Dublin and couldn't justify spending the same money as the house in Dundalk... We have it now close to 3 years and has increase a good bit

We moved into our new house about four months ago, its a 4 Bed semi in the Dublin Suburbs. We love it, within walking distance of our friends, family, shops, bus and rail, its a real family home and we'll be there for many a year. We previously had a three bed house which I adored and still miss big time but the value of it went up significantly so we thought it best to sell and buy a bigger house for the kids :D before house prices went up even further.

We rent a 2 bed appartment in Dublin 6, it has 2 bedrooms the master is en-suite, a decent size kitchen, big living room and a study. Its fine for us as there is just the two of us so far. Its 10 mins walk for me to work and 15 mins for h2b. We rent because we cant afford to buy where we are living and are not interested in commuting. We will buy something eventually but it will not be in Dublin.

we have a lovely three-bed house very near dublin. Bought two years ago and delighted we were able to at time cos I'd say its has gone up a fair bit. we are on a really good train line so always rental potnetial. rooms in house are small but we have 30ft garden with most amazing view. our house backs down onto river valley so nobody overlooking us and all we see is the top of loads of trees. its def the best bit of our house. have fab site in donegal, but don't know if we will ever get to move there as i am in a quite specialised area. really want to move home and build big house with no neighbours!!!

Very close to us! We bought last year off the plans in Ballinteer and just moved in the end of May. Has gone up a lot in value too with the M50 opening and the Luas and Shopping Centre. It's a 2 bed apt, huge living space and good kitchen and bathrooms. Bedrooms are fairly decent too. We're delighted with it. 10 minutes from work and H2B is about 25. Couldn't do commuting! Too lazy!!

we live in a one bedroom, one bathroom, combined large kitchen, sitting room and dining area. Its pefect for here, and as everyone lives in appartments here, we are doing fine.

We are int he middle of trying to get ourselves another site for our 5 bedroom house, 4 regular b/rooms, master bedroom with full en-suite bath and walk in wardrobe. kitchen, utility, dinning room, living room, lounge, games room, 2 bathrooms and study. Cant wait, providing we get the site we are looking at and then the planning :) (which the planner said we would)

YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE, reckon it will be tough going but I dont care
