usually my evenings go like this:
home from work, go for a walk/run generally with a friend which always takes longer than it should with us yakking. home, shower and have dinner. then clean up after dinner, do some housework like putting on a wash etc, make lunches for next day, lay out clothes for next day, watch an hour or two of telly and bed.

about 2 evenings a week i would do something different like visit friends, visit my mam/sister etc and do a weekly yoga class

lovethesite your definitely not the only one, making the most of a child free zone for now, so most evenings its a case of make me make dinner he does dishes and then lie up and watch telley for the evening.

99% of the time - diddley squat! As my hours change every second week, it's hard to do things like courses, as I wouldn't be able to get home in time. Hubby and I used to volunteer for a local Youth Club, but that had to close down, because not enough kids were turning up to justify going ahead with it. So it's usually a couple of loads of washing and tv....how exciting!!

Pretty much just have dinner and hit the couch!
It'd be about 6/6.30 when we get home after collecting DD from one of her nanas, the next hour would be spent playing with her/changing into pj's/having bottle and then she's in bed for 7.30.
After that all DH and I are fit for is relaxing! We'd make dinner and probably put on a wash and get DD's bag ready for the next day but we wouldn't do a whole lot else.
To be honest we were never really into doing much in the evenings anyway. Sometimes i would have gone for a walk and i might get more into that if we get any kind of a summer but i don't really like going out to classes etc during the week. I prefer to spend the few hours with DH, even if it is just chatting while watching a bit of telly.

At the moment I'm studying so its home, dinner and hit the books for a few hours, then TV or a film with H and bed most nights, with an hour of kettlebells on Thursdays.

Once the studying is over with (in two weeks - yay!) I'm planning to try Couch-to-5k 3 evenings a week and also take up jiu jitsu once a week with H training me.

Head to the gym on the way home from work. Spend an hour or so there. Home, shower, dinner. Clean up, do some light housework, finally get to sit down about 8ish with DH. Watch some TV then off to bed. Do it all over again the next day.

Tinyfeet it's hard sometimes isn't it spending such a small amount of time in the evenings with the LO, especially since she's tired and getting cranky, i feel guilty about it but sure what can you do!

o/p, your friends must lead very interesting lives and have lots of energy if they do different things most every night.

I get home at 6ish, feed/play with/tidy up after the cat. We alternate between who cooks and does the washup. By the time the dishes are tidied away it'll be 7:30ish and then we either watch tv & chat, or try do a bit of reading. Inevitavbly there'll be something to put in the washing machine/dryer before we can settle down on the sofa for a couple of hours before bed. I don;t know how people have the energy for other things after a day at work!
