Introducing Buster and Bandit!

Never posted in Furry Friends and i think its about time seeing as I am a massive dog lover!

Here are my two crazy doggies-

Buster is the bigger one - dacshund cross terrier

Bandit is the little fatty- mini dacshund cross chiuaua

Thanks ladies- they are so cuddly! I love going home to them everyday!

Its weird because you can only say things like that to fellow dog lovers - like my mom doesnt get it at all!!

My mum is the same. She's not a dog person at all and thinks we're mad to spend money on training him etc. She was joking the last time asking me when he was doing his Leaving Cert! She'll walk him for us when we can't (she has been great the few weeks I've been off sick) but he has to be ready for her (lead/harness on etc) and she hates him coming near her when she's in our house!
But we wouldn't change him for anything :lvs

Girls-

Bandit is going in for the snip on Tuesday :weep

He has such a personality I swear he is going to be odd with us!! H2B is bringing him in and collecting him so hopefully by the time I get home from work everything will be ok.

My heart was broke when we had Buster fixed last year :o(

awh poor Bandit. He will be fine. He will be groggy and not himself for a few days but it will be worth it..

I know it will so will have to focus on that.

I am at war with one of my good friends over it- she thinks I am being mean getting him fixed, saying its one of their only pleasures in life and that it isn't natural blah blah blah...

I just dont want them to get cancer and seeing as we are not breeding them I dont think we are harming them are we?

ALl dogs should be neutered unless you are showing them or you are a responsible, experienced breeder.
The fact they are crossbreeds themselves is an even more resason they should be neutered as you are never going to breed from a cross breed.

I can never understand why people think its cruel to neuter, its actually the best thing you can do for your dog.

Well Bandit is grand thank God! The vet nurses were giving him a complex though saying his bits were so small!! He was groggy for the first day but by yesterday he was back to his normal self!!

Poor ol Buster was lost without him- sat outside the kitchen door and waited like a dad on a maternity ward!! Very cute!!
