Anyone got married on guernsey or jersey channel islands who could recommend good hairdressers...entertainment etc. .

Hi all,

What is the average price for a modest wedding in Spain. With everything all in i.e. wedding planner, dresses, suits, venue, church, meal, flowers, accommodation for the week.

Basically when I get married in Spain how much do I need to buget for everything.

Hi Brideorbridezilla - I'm looking for the same answers... did anyone come back to you?

I'm looking for Spain too.. it seems to be the most suitable.. shorter flight.. seems to be a cheaper location.. and still everything that you can get everywhere else.. the Sun, the views etc..
- I'm looking for
- suggestion of locations - near an airport - with a good choice of good value accommodation..

- suggestion of wedding planners - some seem to really vary on price.. would be helpful if I could get a few recommendations..

- suggestion of what you need to do BEFORE you book your wedding.. should you visit the location twice before you get married.. or is it possible to go, book, do tastings etc.. in the one visit?

We are looking to get married next summer.. so not a lot of time left!

If you find out what kind of budget you need to be looking at for getting married abroad.. I'd love if you - or anyone else could point me in the right direction..

Hi Meadow,

On a different thread people came back saying 10-20,000 but said it can be done cheaper if you want (which I do).

I have decided on Calpe in Spain. 50 mins from Alicante, accommodation is affordable for guests (Hotel Sol Y Mar has hotel and apartments in same complex so guests have option of 4* hotel or self catering). For hotel and flights from Belfast travel agent has quoted roughly £400 per person but obviously that will go down if people opt for s/c. Have booked to go over in June to view venues with wedding planner Marcella Doran (yourdreamweddinginspain.com). Everyone on here is raving about her and from just a couple of emails I can see why, she seems lovely and there to really help you plus she seems really cheap for what she offers.

Not going over again for tastings or anything but I am quite laid back that way and I trust Marcellas recommendations that the venues are good. Also hope to get alot of the booking done in Junewhen we are over.hope this helps and congrats and good luck with the wedidng x
