TTC weightloss buddies???

Hi girls,
You'll probably laugh when you read this as i set up a weightwatchers thread a few weeks ago and fell off the wagon after week 1 :-8 :-8

So the story is now that we are awaiting date for our appt in hari unit in rotunda. I have a bit of weight to lose so thought i'd get a head start before doc in hospital tells me to shed a few lbs.

Anyone else interested in joining me???

Feel free to give me a few harsh words if i start to fall off the wagon :o0

I've been going to Weight Watchers since January and I've lost a stone since then, which is great - I keep telling myself that every pound I lose is one less that I'll have to shift after the (hypothetical) baby! But it's still slow going, and I had hoped to be down two stone by the summer, which obviously hasn't happened.

My problem is every month around the third week, I start to convince myself that I might be pregnant and then I start to slip... but I'm still sticking with it. I've heard so many women say the beginning of their weight problem was after the birth of their first child, and I don't want to have to deal with an additional 2-3 stone on top of baby weight.

And besides, it gives me a positive spin on every BFN - I tell myself I've been given one more month to shift another few pounds.

So the best of luck mrskia07, both with the Hari unit and the weight loss. No harsh words needed, only encouragement!

I'm the exact same, once i get to the 2ww i'm putting the ww off a bit thinking i'm pg :-8

I'm in, I'm in! I can do the gym part but when it comes to food all my favourite things are bad, bad, bad. Anyway I'm going to head to WW tomorrow.

Congratulations on your weight loss Roxanne, you are my new hero. Don't suppose you have any spells for will power for me?

If I get a bfn on Thursday I'm in too. I joined the gym a while back but then started the IVF meds which tired me out so I stopped going. I've 2 stone to lose :-(

hi all :wv
this is my 1st post on TTC.
Im trying to prepare my body before we TTC by coming off the pill, avoiding alcohol taking folic acid etc. but im finding it so hard to lose the weight i put on after the wedding :-8 i suppose i thought ah sure whats the point whem im going to (hopefully) get pregnant soon anyway! so im really delighted to hear im not paddling my canoe alone!! IM IN!!! :o)ll

Mrs I am in was thinking about it all weekend. I look pregnant when I stick my belly out :eek

Defo in from tomorrow have two weddings a week after another in July so its a good idea to start now.

Hi..
Count me in, but no WW.
DH and I are doing a competition to have our 5-a-day.. whoever has had the most fruit/veg at the end of the month has to pay the other 100 squids.

I was in particularly BAD mood about it today as have been spring cleaning and had to put away all my lovely summer/honeymoon clothes from last year. I am 2 stone heavier :eek :eek :eek

I am determined to lose AT LEAST a stone (preferably 1 and a half) before properly TTC because my mam put on 5 - 6 stone during pregnancy and never took it off. I know that losing it now is no guarantee but I want to give my future lil bean a good start anyway. Plus being this much heavier heavier is NO good for my mood (or my libido :o0 ) and that's a bit unfair on all three of us too!

Let's all get tickers and get cracking!

I'm doing slim fast at the moment & doing very well on it so far. I've been on it 2 weeks.
I haven't weighed myself as I'm going by my clothes but it's looking good so far.

Thank you, thank you for this thread. Can I join please?

I have been putting off TTC as I want to lose a stone even though I've been given the all clear from my doctor. Im now getting very impatient as I really want to start trying now but I want to make sure my body is in good shape so I can give the little bean the best chance possible - thats my motivation. I lost 2 stone last year but have found the last stone hard to shift. A few weeks ago I joined WW and its the kickstart I needed Ive been very good and have lost 7lbs already.

So good luck to everybody and we WILL do it ...

Hi Girls!

I'm in!!!! I put on a stone in the last 5 months ... I was sticking my head in the sand and blaming clomid and the other meds but honestly I think i'm just searching out excuses!! Am trying to eat a low GI diet but have zero willpower! The only good thing is that I started on glucophage last week and have discovered (to my distress!) that it doesn't agree with alcohol ... so that'll be a few lbs lost in that alone!

Girls, can I join? Have been doing WW for over a year and lost 5 - 1/2 stone but managed to put on a half a stone when I was pregnant for 3 months.

Have been struggling a bit because of exams! I manage to convince myself that brain food only consists of chocolate and crap!!

Been in WW's 3 months now, hit 22.5lbs last week but have had a bad weekend so up a fair few lbs!

I'll join you. I'm going back to WW tonight. You would swear I was pg already, the state of me. I need to lose 4 stone to get into a healthy weight range. None of my summer clothes fit me and I've had to buy new, sack-like things. Pretty depressing.
