Found this but not sure if there is research to back up the 40% claim:-

The research collected since 1999 shows it increases your chance of getting pg by 40% (instead of 20% each month).

Here is the link to the detailed plan:

So if there's a 20% chance of getting pregnant each month, that means that a 'normal' couple should conceive within 5 months? And SMEP changes that to conceiving within, on average, 2.5 months? This is our first month using SMEP.My thoughts behind the whole thing are that it must increase the man's sperm production or something by only DTD once every 2 nights until +OPK? I am sick of trying at this stage. We are trying since the start of 2011. I hate getting AF every month! :babydust: to everyone!

I'm sort of doing this plan, not going to be strict on the every 2 days thing as long as we're every 2-3 days i'll be happy

I'm cd 12 now and usually have cycles any where between 30 and 40 days so i've started using opk's to help track down ovulation, temping as well

Can I ask a quick question here....

My understanding of this plan is to DTD from day 8 every second day until +OPK and 3 days once +OPK for example if I OV on day 15 I DTD CD8, CD10, CD 12, CD14, CD15, CD16..... so heres my question, do you go back to dtd every second day after that for example CD 18, CD20 etc.....

We are worn out as it is!!!! :-8 :eek :-8 :eek :-8
