Prayers for fertility

Hi girls. Just wondering If it would be a good idea to come up with a sticky for Prayers for fertility? It was Littlemisshopeful's idea and I think its a good one!! Ill start off with 3 I have. Feel free to add!

"O Most Beautiful Flower of Mt. Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein you are my Mother. O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succor me in my necessity (make request).
There are none that can withstand your power. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (say 3 times).
Thank you for your mercy to me and mine Amen

say this for 3 days .

"O good St Gerard, powerful intercessor before God and wonder worker of our day, confidently I call upon you and seek your aid. On Earth you always fulfilled God's designs, help me now to do the holy will of God. Implore the Master of Life, from whom all paternity proceeds, to render me fruitful in offspring, that I may raise up children to God in this life, and in the world to come, heirs to the Kingdom of His Glory".

Dear Heart of Jesus in the past I have asked for many favours. This time I ask for one special one (mention here). Take it dear Heart of Jesus and place it within your own broken Heart where your father sees it. Then, in His merciful eyes it will become your favour not mine. Amen

I think St Colette is the patron saint of TTC!!! seemingly her parents tried for years to have a child, but then had her when they were about 60...so a bit of a miracle! So seemingly she always championed women having difficulties trying to conceive. I do have a prayer for St Colette but i'd have to dig it out. I will do over the next while!

Well I read that St Philomena is patron of babies and infertility. Will have to try and find if there is a known prayer to her too. I was looking up prayers for ttc on the internet and came across a website where people can share their story...if they want and people can pray for each other...again, if they want to. It had orayers for various things I printed off. You have to register but it is free. Not sure if anyone is interested or not in this. it is www.christian-books-for-women.com.

I was reading a book last year when I was supervising an exam in a library I found this book called the dictionary of saints, there is literally a saint for everything, it was very interesting. think this is a nice thread sometimes it can be a bit uncool to say you are religious....

Here's one I use...

Holy St. Jude Apostle and Martyr Great in Virtue and Rich in Miralces, Near Kinsman of Jesus Christ, Faithful intercessor of all who invoke Your Special Patronage in time of need. To you, I have recourse, from the depths of my heart, and humbly beg, to whom God has given such Great Power to come to my assistance. Help me in my present and urgent petition. In return, I promise to make Your name known and cause You to be invoked. Say 3 Our Fathers, 3 Hail Marys and 3 Glorias. Publication must be promised. St. Jude pray for us and all who invoke Your aid. AMEN! This Novena is never known to fail. I have had my request granted and have publicated as promised. This is a wonderful and powerful Novena. May God Bles you all!

Fertility prayer to receive the gift of a new baby

Almighty Creator, hear this fertility prayer and the wishes of my heart.
You know my deep desire for a child -- a little one to love and to hold, to care for, to cherish. Grant that my body may conceive and give birth to a beautiful, healthy baby in Your holy image. Guide me in all my choices so that this conception, my pregnancy and my baby's birth are in line with Your will. Heavenly Father and Holy Mother, hear this prayer of my heart, mind and spirit.Amen!

Heres a couple of other prayers I found :lvs

St. David's Infertility Prayer

Thank you, Lord for all the blessings in my life. Help me to remember them as I face the challenges of infertility. I pray that I can surrender myself into your hands. Let me accept the reality of this situation and have the wisdom and courage to take action where I can. Strengthen my body, mind and spirit to endure the trials of infertility. Keep me ever mindful of the needs of others and grant us your peace. Amen.

Heres one that I use in a lot of different situatios but is appropriate fot TTCers...
" God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can change, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I never got notifications of all these posts and I thought the thread hadn't taken off. Glad you like the idea and thanks for making it a sticky. I got a little booklet of prayers to St Rita this evening and there is one in it:

O Glorious Saint Rita, your coming into the world brought joy and happiness to the hearts of your parents who had prayed so long for a child. I pray now for the same favour. Obtain for me the joy of parenthood. I promise to accept the child as a sacred trust from the hands of God and to do everything to promote its eternal salvation. Amen.
