I came off mine three weeks ago - getting married in June and like you, want to allow my body plenty of time to get back to normal. I am currently charting my cycle and hope to be able to see whether or not I'm ovulating over the next few months. This month my body has shown signs of ovulation but charting hasn't showed any ovulation so maybe next month? Will just have to wait and see I guess. It's frightening to hear that it can take some women months and months to start ovulating again so that's what did it for me. Want to be able to get started as soon as we're married. I have to say, I am so glad I made the decision to come off it when I did for two reasons - (a) I don't think I have ovulated this month, and so it may indeed take my body a while to get going so at least I have a few months to play around with now, and (b) I am such a better person off the pill - less moody, more reasonable and rational and major increase in libido!!! I'm so excited about getting my body back working properly :o)ll

Very best of luck with it and hopefully none of us will have any nasty side effects or be waiting too long for things to regulate!

Hi girls,

We may all be TTC around the same time so :o)ll I'm getting married in a couple of months but I've been off the pill for a while now. I charted for a while using fertility friend just to see how my cycle was etc. It was detecting possible ovulation but never for definite. Temps seem to be all over the place and I never have EWCM. I was asking my doctor about that and she said that if you have a regular cycle then you are most definitely ovulating. I suppose I will have to wait to see....... :o)ll

I have only been charting a little while - but my temps seem to be all over the place too and I am now on CD21 with no ovulation detected. This is my very first cycle off the pill though so going to stick with it and see if things settle down. I had a couple of days of EWCM and lots of cramps so I'm taking that as a sign that my body is at least making an attempt to ovulate. Will just have to wait it out a few cycles and see. I have the added complication of a recently diagnosed underactive thyroid - so if it happens that I'm not ovulating, that will be my first port of call!

Hey!

Just started my last pill pack this wk, was nervous and excited, each day I'm taking it is another day closer! :o)ll Weird feeling, have been on the pill years don't plan to start ttc until feb/march! Most of the girls have started their families most being pregnant fairly quickly after starting ttc so don't be put off by the length of time it takes some people, everyone is different! Hope it will happen for us but sure who knows! We'll enjoy the trying anyway!! >:o) I haven't a clue about temping etc but i'm sure I'll learn quickly!! Fun times ahead girls best of luck to you all x

Hey, great to see loads of replies...haha...i really don't know what you's are on about saying Temping and all these thiings LOL...it's soo exciting i am going to come off the pill...i have been married for 1.5 years now so i think it's time we better get stuck in even though i could wait i think another while to party and all sorts but then i am broody at the same time LOL.....i am soo excited...2 more nights taking the pill and GOODBYE :o)ll :o)ll but this is really selfish of me cause really don't want to get pregnant until March or April for various reasons but like you can't count your chickens can you..i know everythign can't go to plan like i always want too..i am an organised freak :o)ll i am not going to do temping or see am i ovulating or anything...i'll just be relaxed and see how my cycle is...i say i am going to be careful until march but maybe should just go with the flow and see what happens...eh :o)ll but then people say you sometimes get pregnant straight away after coming off the pill..well my friend did LOL...be hard to be careful though during xmas lol..didn't use condoms for years obviously cause been on the pill for 10 years LOL so i think if said to Hubby better use them he'll be like...whatever he wants me to get pregnant :o)ll :o)ll but but i am a bridesmaid Next August so really have to be careful lol lol arrrrrrrgh decisions decisions :o)ll :o)ll

I have already started taking my folic acid and don't intend on TTC until June!! :o0 I figure I might aswell get myself in the habit of taking it now - besides, they say that all women of childbearing age should be taking folic acid, just incase.

I swore I wouldn't temp, but I have decided to do it between now and the wedding, simply so that I can at least know whether or not I'm ovulating and whether I have a regular or irregular cycle. Once June comes I'll probably stop temping (assuming everything has settled down).

Isn't is a great feeling to know you've made a step in the right direction towards TTC :o)ll

yes am feeling good, i have a few things to get out of the way first before starting for real but if it does happen from now until march i'll be happy...we'll survive...but what about me being a big bridesmaids in august. really have to wait until march i think :(

i'm just going to look at my cycles and if they get regular well happy days.....hopefully won't be long until we get our cycle back up and running...not going to get stressed about when ovulating or anything yet :o)ll

not looking forward to getting the old cramps back though when getting a period :(
