Formula Feeding....Support Thread

Formula Feeding....Support Thread

Postby EatLoveSleep » Tue Mar 08, 2022 9:49 pm

As there is none already i thought this would be a good idea?
I am due in July and will be FF.

Anyone else on board? I will ask admin to make this a sticky if there is any interest.

Maybe some other moms could give experiences/hints/tips etc?

Nice to see a balance. I'm all for breastfeeding for those who choose to do it but like as said on another thread there should be equally as much support out there for those that can't or choose not to.

I'm in the camp that chose not to bf either of my dds and while I'll never claim to be an expert if there's any help I can offer any new mum then I'll give it with a heart and a half!

Ah thanks MammyC tis hard enough trying to find your way through the maze of motherhood without all the crap going on on the forum. And I always felt when I had to change DS s formula I had NO idea of where to start, lots of info on BF but goddamned all on the differences between the types of formula.! So I think its only right and fair that mammies who want to give formula are given support advise and our knowledge :wv

FF both of mine and DS1 has silent reflux and went through such a time with him but hopefully can use that experience to help others.

Fantastic. This is a great idea. Thanks. Due in June and plan to FF(1st baby). But dont know where to start as regards what bottles/sterilisers/formula/how much/how little etc.
Basically I'm clueless about everything! Anyone know a good link to anywhere that just gives the basics for a first-timer? Thanks again girls. It seems like such a taboo to say I want to FF. Please god noone comes on this asking why. I find it kind of stressful thinking of peoples reactions.

I'm a formula feeding facist, happy to help. As you can see from my tickers I did in fact BF for a while but hopefully this won't be held against me. :) I had to give up due to my cup size being that of a battery size. :)
Groovee it's kinda made out to be harder than it is, it's very straightforward.
