I suppose I'll start and hope everyone will join in again.

Been TTC since September 06. Since then I have had 6 Clomid cycles and 4 FSH cycles...all BFN. Had my HSG done in September 08 and discovered I have a blocked tube so have gone on to IVF..

I'm currently on my second cycle as my first one was cancelled due to a poor response. I'm on the short protocol and using Puregon and Orgalutron injections while I'm stimming like crazy.

Good luck Magzsak, shalloecat and all the others who are only starting the IVF process, it is an amazing process and not at all scary or nervewracking as you would think! But I found the 2WW hell.

My first IVF failed but was told by my doc, that I have 8 very good quality embryo's frozen and that she is giving me a 30% success rate for a Frozen egg transfer, so I am going to focus on that!

We need things to focus on, this journey is never over! It i a never ending road.

Good luck all!

MrsHolly

I'm attending the CFC since November 07. I find them really good and they do move pretty fast with everything once you have your first consultation over with.

Hi i introduced myself on the other thread that's gone missing. I don't want to repeat myself and bore anyone that read the other one so I'll just say good luck to everyone and congratulations to all the BFP's.

If anyone is under Dr R in Rotunda I'd like to hear your opinion on him.

Hello Ladies,

I'm hopping aboard the new thread just at the beginning of my IVF journey. :wv

In short: Thirty eight next month :ooh , trying three and a half years, seven rounds of Clomid, four with Ovitrelle, lap and dye normal, three rounds of Ovulation Induction with Puregon injections and Ovitrelle combined with follicle tracking. No explanation as to why nothing has worked - we're both within normal ranges in all our tests, if the low end of normal. So IVF is our best bet, we're told.

I started the sniffer last week and so far so good. All going well, we're looking at early to mid June for transfer.

Can I ask a few really stupid, IVF Virgin questions, please??? :-8

- Does the sniffer mean I'm on a long protocol?
- What is stimming?
- Should I be drinking gallons of water or is that only when I start the injections? And how much is enough?
- I could do with losing around two stone. Is this a bad or a good time to go on a diet?
- How bad will I feel around the time of egg collection/embryo transfer? We're invited to a wedding around that time and DH is talking like unless the collection/transfer is on the actual day of the wedding, there should be no problem. I'm not so sure... I feel this should be our only priority and it doesn't help that the wedding is friends of his, not mine!
- What exactly is the story with alcohol? The nurse at the clinic said a few glasses of wine per week will do no harm at all and may even help stress levels, but I notice a lot of IVFers give it up completely. Doesn't help that I am absolutely GAGGING for the gargle these days...
- Is there anything else I should be doing?
- Does anyone else ever feel like this is not really happening?? I know that's a crazy question, but there are days when I feel like IVF is still a remote, distant possibility, not something I am doing RIGHT NOW. Very strange. I think I'm still in denial!

Wishing you all the very best of luck on your journeys. :xxx
We are all in the gutter... but some of us are looking at the stars.

Well Girls I am due to test tomorrow morning and I just couldn't wait..I wanted to be ready in case it was negative to be able to deal with both me and hubbies disappointment and guess what.............................

It was positive ........................I feel like crying with happiness ( at work though so keeping it in)..........Its 13 days post trasfer so I figure I am safe enough that the test is true...

Its just so sureal ....I nearly can't let my self believe its true........

After nearly 2.5 years trying and a 1.5 years of investigation....
Girls there really is hope
