Slanket, let us know how you get on.

IUI has been discusssed with us. We are with SIMS and currently waiting on AMH and other blood test results to decide for sure which course of action we will take (IUI or IVF) but it is possible that we will be giving IUI a go in the very near future.

:babydust: to all of us on here.

wondering what kind of consult I am going to have next wednesday in cfc, as have had consult with dr. w, well both dr. w's, hsg etc..
think this one is iui specific, any advise what they discuss (cfc), have it with nurse, Orla. she said dh didnt have to come with me (we are both in college and he missed a lot this week so dont want him missing anymore). Still have to wait until august as far as I know for IUI to actually start. finger crossed we may still get a cancellation for a cycle or something

Hi girls,

Well I took my first injection last night, I was a bit worried doing it but it was fine! My day 9 scan should be next Saturday but they are bringing me in on day 8 instead, I don't usually ovulate until cd16/17 so I haven't a clue when I'll be doing the iui.

Do you think a couple of glasses of wine would be ok?? I'm not going to go on a bender or anything! but I really find it helps me relax after a stressful week.

Hi,
the college road one, cfc, they sent over refferal to cumh for us, I plagued the poor pa in cumh for any cancellations just to meet dr. wie... and finally got one, otherwise the meeting alone for approval would probably have not happened until october of this year (oct last year when we got the cancellation meeting), we had already done all necessary tests with cfc so he approved us, it took until just before christmas for the "acceptance refferal" to get sent back to cfc, in cumh they told us that we had been waiting long enough (as per signature 9ish years) and would get started in the new year.
finally heard back from cfc just before christmas that when they said new year they meant the year 2012 not jan 2012 and that we are currently looking at august as the closest time to get started!
Thats why I said I would take this consult tomorrow to have it "done" incase, god I hope and pray that someone gets the good fortune we have not and get pregnant naturally so we might be able to take the cancellation spot but I dont think this can actually happen.
We have no luck, get all worked up for something finally going our way and then spend christmas like an inconsolable miserable fool for feeling our hopes and dreams are being dashed again, so now I am trying to look at the positives! sorry for the rant its late and I should be doing college work but so excited!

Oh my goodness Lablady ye have gone through soooo much
Ye really deserve to get a cancellation extra fast and get your BFP straight away

I didnt realise that CFC would refer patients on to CUH :duh:
I thought that by our gp referring us to CFC we would get everything done faster to avoid the waiting lists in CUH O:| O:|

That is a nightmare.

hope it all works out for you hun, and fast to

Thanks VB,
your doc was right to refer you straight to cfc but I think cumh still have to do the approval, its dr. peter w who does it and he is in cfc but its all done through cumh, in the maternity ward! But the nurses are lovely!
If you have the money I would get all bloods done yourself, get your doc to fill out the refferal form for sa for your dh so its free, in cfc.
And the hsg is 450 but dr waterst... does it himself in bon secours, we were fortunate enough to have this paid for by my mil.

Today I met with the nurse in cfc who looks after public clients, she did another scan and showed I have not ov'd yet this month, on cd17 and follies were 16 mm (is it mm's?) and there were at least 10 on one side and 5 on the other so she was delighted to see ovaries were very active.

The bad news is, she said this years funds wont be in until August, thats why she said it could take until then, now she is afraid that the funding might get pulled because of cutbacks, for yoursake and mine I really hope its not cut!

Good Luck!
