Done before - favourite famous bride

Done before - favourite famous bride

Postby Smileykaz » Mon Mar 12, 2022 4:24 pm

Just...cos I like pictures of brides.

Who was your favourite famous bride?

I loved Princess Margaret. I think she's often overlooked as her sister was Queen and then quickly everyone became obsessed with Diana like, so these days she's overlooked. Though back in the day she was the famous one I suppose. Anyway.

Look at that hair and skin and those red lips. And a fab dress with an enormous veil for the big long aisle. I thought she was fabulous anyway.

How about you?

She was fab-so glamourous!

I loved Princess Diana. Yeah the dress was a big poofy 80s creation but I loved it. I also loved Princess Grace's dress (a bit cliche I think as everyone references it) and Princess Anne had a fab look for her 1970s wedding-I loved her dress with the medieval feel to it.

i thought avril lavigne was beautiful on her wedding day. i dont really pass heed to much in the land of celeb, so im sure there's LOADS of brides that i would have thought equally or more stunning, but i remember being surprised at how elegant she looked.

Like seedee I wouldn't pay much attention to celeb-land so I had to google image celebrity bride and see what I liked out of the results :o0

First up is Bianca Jagger, totally not my style but she looked amazing.
Image

Nest would be Ellen and Portia, love the suit and the dress, thought they both looked great and I love how they dressed to suit their respective styles.
Image

Last, but not least, is Jamie Olivers wife Juliette. His suit was AWFUL but she looked so charmingly beautiful in her simple dress, think it really suited her.

HippyChic, I love Bianca Jagger's wedding suit too, if I had a rack like hers, I'd totally try and get away with something like that!

I have a couple of favourites, but for a more vintage look Wallis Simpson looked so classy and elegant on her wedding day, a stunning dress. And I loved Courtney Cox's wedding dress, although I think if I were to wear something like it I'd prefer a more matte finish material (purely for flattering purposes, I'm about twice her size!).

Celine Dion is hilarious! If you hadn't said who it was people would prob presume it was from Gypsy weddings so does that teach us all about stereotyping or what!! :o0

Jeeny frost from Atomic Kitten! It's more the whole package of how she looked I think rather than specifically loving the dress, also the non-posing nature of her photos, she looks genuinely ecstatic in all of them and very much herself, totally fab.

Love Bianca Jagger, so effortlessly stylish.

I also liked Jenna Bush's dress:

And Nancy Shevell was beautiful, very simple and understated.
