It's a lovely dress and I know it says it's metallic but it looks more white to me. It's kinda the etiquette not to wear white to a wedding, so I probably wouldn't.

In saying that, on my wedding day I didn't notice at all what any of my guests were wearing. Couldn't tell you if any of them wore white/cream, I wouldn't have noticed if any of them dressed up as Barney the Dinosaur I was on such a high!

So in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter. If you like it I guess, go for it! Post a picture of yourself when you're all dolled up!

Oh gosh sorry is that why you were asking? because it is kinda whitey? I thought you were just asking in general "would you wear this to a wedding?" either way I would defo wear it it's lovely and not really white and I think them days are gone - well they are amongst my friends anyway I think that's quite old fashioned not to wear / white cream to a wedding lots did to mine and all looked fab. It is not as if it is a floor length white ball gown - I say go for it :lvs

I would (if I had the figure) Its lovely, and +1 to the white/cream debate, it hardly looks like a wedding dress.

I like it, but I think it looks very short.
Can you sit comfortably in it?

It's a nice dress but I wouldn't wear something that looks remotely white to a wedding myself. I know those days are gone but I just wouldn't want to risk the bride being put out. My friend was a total bridezilla and went around in the months leading up to her wedding saying if anyone dared wear white she would throw them out, just a tad OTT if you ask me, she was off her rocker about the whole thing though, but it's something to be aware of.

I absolutely would O-O
Its beautiful, and with a little fake tan you will look gorgeous (maybe throw some colour to it with a wrap or flower in your hair or something like that).
Franc (your man that does all the weddings) was on a chat show a little over a week ago on RTE 2 (Craig Doyles show) and he answered that question of wearing white or cream to a wedding and said dont be silly, no one will ever look better than the bride on the wedding day.
Its a beautiful simple dress and im sure you will look gorgeous in it. ;o)

It's a fab dress... I prefer something with more colour myself though, especially for a summer wedding. But I see no reason why you couldn't/shouldn't wear it. Fake tan is a must with it though, or the colour could wash you out. Nice earrings, handbag and shoes and you are set. Well wear.

Kaz this gave me a HUGE giggle imagining you and Mr Smiley getting your photos weeks later and realising there was a 6ft purple dinosaur in the background the whole day :yelrotflmaosmilie: :yelrotflmaosmilie: :yelrotflmaosmilie:

Re: the dress - I think it's lovely and well wear. I'd put a coloured wrap with it though, but this is just because I couldn't wear that colour without something to lift it and not be washed out.

It is a beautiful dress but personally I don't think the colour is suitable for a wedding. I would also worry about the length- it looks very short?
