would u wear this as wedding guest?

Eeeek! I've a dress REALLY similar to that for a wedding on Saturday week and am stressing now about it too.

Most people have said it's lovely and of course you can wear it to a wedding but the odd person has said it's a bit short too. Gonna try it on again with tan etc this weekend to get a true impression of what it'll be like and make a decision.... then probably spend the rest of the weekend trawling the shops for something else! :o0

I think its lovely, that style isnt normally very short either so I'm sure the length will be fine.
Putting colour with it is a great idea too, you could do a lovely pink wrap, shoes, bag etc and you'll be just beautiful!

Have a great day :compress

No.

Unless you put a coloured belt on to try break it up i don't think any white ivory, cream, silver etc is suitable to wear to a wedding.

I know some people say they don't care but there will be people who feel the same as me at the wedding and they will all be looking at you thinking why would that b**tch wear that colour to a wedding.

Suppose it depends if that would bother you or not...

A girl wore a cream colour dress to my wedding. I remember greeting her as she got to the church, and I never even noticed until looking at pictures months later that she was wearing that colour!

certainly wouldnt bother me. and to be perfectly honest i think its pathetic to try to bully her into buying a new dress because you thinks she's a b'itch for wearing a short silver dress.

I would yeah. Its lovely, and won't look as short on you as it does on the model. I would team it with a bright colour to make it more summery - it's a great dress in that you can wear any colour with it.

I don't think it looks bridal at all. I wore a knee-length dress at my own wedding, and two guests turned up in white/ivory knee-length dresses and it didn't bother me in the slightest.

i'm not bullying anyone seedee
She asked for opinions and i'm giving mine.

She can obviously wear whatever she wants, but i'm just saying "in my opinion" i wouldn't want anyone thinking i'd worn a white/silver dress to spite the bride, coz that's what some people would be thinking!

thanks for the replies girls, just so unsure what to do, lenght is just above the knee on me (model in the pic is 5ft 10, i'm 5ft 4in) fit is really flattering.

as to putting another colour with it im not sure how another colour would look with dress or even what colour to go for, even if i changed the belt to silver its still light colour. had light ivory peep toe shoes that went lovely with it and silver jewellery, obviously will have tan on otherwise it would wash me out.

as for trying to upset off a bride i would never do this to anyone, just seen the dress and thought it was nice and ordered it, that is why i am looking for peoples opinions and appreciate them all. wedding is in 3 weeks

so unsure :weep

newlywed2011 - I had the exact same problems. I got the dress and loved it then spent so long looking for shoes and accessories to match cos it's not the easiest to match with. Then decided I didn't want it and tried to bring it back but the time had lapsed! So decided ok I'll just wear it instead of wasting the money....but still wasn't sure!

So now Ive just got back from Liffey Valley and got another dress in Oasis :o0 I'm gonna keep my creamy one for my 30th in January and pray to God I still fit into it!

I think its a beautiful dress, I would definitely wear it. Theres loads of skinny belts in Penneys and Dorothy Perkins (I was shopping yesterday!), I think fushia pink would be lovely with it. Pink shoes, a wrap and bag would be just perfect. You could do purple either if you're not into pink but theres not as much purple about for matching up.

The model is 5 10 so I wouldnt worry about it being short, I have a good few Oasis dresses and they are definitely not too short
