Recommend a wardrobe company?

Recommend a wardrobe company?

Postby Girl From Mars » Wed May 02, 2022 7:50 pm

I know this should be in H&H but there's more traffic here. We're looking to get fitted wardrobes, flexible as regards to whether or not they're sliders. Anyone have any recommendations?

We got our wardrobes from Sliderobes.ie about 5 years ago and found them really good. Havent had many problems with them since we bought them, when one of the castors broke, they came out and fixed it no problem and I dont think they charged us for it either.

Where abouts in the country are you? I looked at slide robes but they were charging 5k for the size I wanted. I got someone else to do them exactly the way I wanted, he even made the doors so I could split the glass/wood bit the way I wanted them and he put in a row of spot lights above them and all for 1800. He's really good and I'd say he'd travel.

PM me if you want the details

We are hoping to get sliding wardrobes this month, best quote we got was from a local guy. Plus I figured he'd be close to help us out and fix things should we need it.

Thanks ladies. I'm in Dublin, we have robeplan coming out to us and I'll probably call sliderobes too. I'm a bit clueless when it comes to this stuff and I could do without spending money where I don't have to!

Hi ladies, just updating this to see what your opinions are. I got a quote from robeplan of 2500 for a 4 door slider. Anyone know if this is a decent price for this recessionary time?!

I got a few quotes a while back and Tegre (Naas Road) gave me the best price. I never got around to going into the showroom and having a look though. They quoted me €1,000 for a wardrobe about 3 meters wide with two sliding fully mirrored doors, it was more if I wanted 3 doors.

Two people I know also recommended Bedroom Elegance in Blanchardstown/ Dorset St but they quoted me €1650.

Robeplan quoted me €3230 :action34 :action34 :action34

OP if you are any good at flatpack or know anyone that is it could be worth checking out Ikea. We got sliding wardrobes (two full size iykwim) for 800 euro. Now it took DH a while to put them together and we needed a hand bolting them to the wall from BIL but it was a huge difference in price from any of the companies we looked into.
They have a huge variety of finishes, wood, glass, mirrored etc and you can get lots of different combos of drawers and shelves.

Thanks Ciaraella and teapotty. I had planned to call bedroom elegance with measurements and see what they can offer so that's next on my list! Unfortunately we have a very awkward space to fill so Ikea won't do the job, much as I wish they would!
