How much is everyone paying for corkage?

we are getting married in Feb, and got a very good package cos off-season.
Its 45 per head and includes:
red carpet, bubbly for bridal party
processo, hot whiskeys, fruit punch, tea/coffee, buiscuits , canapes on arrival
all the decorations-covers, bows, flowers , centrepieces, menus, table plan etc
5 course meal (choice of 2 starters and 3 mains)
4 pours of wine
3tier cake- diff flavour in each tier (plus stand and knive etc)
evening buffet
4 rooms night b4 weding for H2b and his family
10 rooms night of wedding
bridal suite for 2nights
finger food the following day
anninversary wkend package

Ok just to post back and add my package to the list!! I got a brilliant deal thanks to wollies on here and all their tips on how to haggle with hotel!!

Ok Package price €30pp got it down from €36-38 because we decided to have a off peak wedding November.

5 Course dinner with choice of starter and main
Champagne and red carpet arrival for bridal party
Tea coffee sandwiches on arival for guests with hot punch & chocolate fountain
music on arrival
personilised menu cards and fresh floral arrangements and napkins to match bridal colours
Chaircovers with sash for top table have to hire the rest myself.
Bridal suite, Parents rooms.

Extras I haggled for

Free corkage on wine and champagne
4 additional rooms for bridal party
Kids meals €10 down from €15
Half price evening buffet!

Thinks thats everything for the moment anyway!!

hmm this can be a very good/bad trend as i had thought we had done very well. We have booked a sat in June in killarney so heres ours:

red carpet and champagne on arrival for bride n groom
fruit punch , tea and coffee and canapes for all guests
pianist playing during drinks reception
complementary bar extension
all decorations - chair covers, bows, fresh flowers, personalized menus and table plan, cake stand etc.
meal: choice of starter, soup, 3 choice in mains (lamb, chicken or fish), dessert, tea/coffee
half bottle wine pp
after reception food: tea/coffee, sandwiches, cocktail sausages and one other hot food item
bnb for bride and groom on night of menu tasting
bnb on our first anniversary
three complementary room on night of wedding
significantly reduced room rate for guest

Hey Bellee - I wouldn't worry about it. We're €65 too for Easter Saturday in a hotel in Meath (having civil ceremony) and I'm delighted with it...well obviously cheaper is better but happy overall. If you're having it somewhere less big town/city it's going to be cheaper and if you're having it during the week it'll be cheaper so I'm happy enough. Fair play to the others for getting 'better deals' but a lot of them are off peak/mid-week so they're always going to be cheaper - be happy!! :o)ll

Ours is 65 a head providing you don't have the beef - for everyone that has beef it's 8euro extra

No other complementary rooms

We do have -
Our cake included
Haggled the sorbet course to be thrown in

Great thread but people should really put the hotel star rating and how many guests so people can compare like with like.

€38pp Saturday wedding in May. (or €36 exc wine)

- Champagne for bridal party, champagne cocktail for all other guest. Canapes for all quests.
- Chair covers and white sashes (we are going to get coloured sashes for 75cent each ourselves)
- Candles and flowers on tables
- 5 course inc choice of starter & main, will have to pay extra €1pp for medley of dessert, havent decided yet if we are doing that
- 2 glasses of wine pp, must talk to them about non alcohol drinkers, we will have a few. Might just cover their drinks during dinner if hotel wont provide
- bridal suite & three other rooms all including breakfast
- bar extension
- free corkage for sparkling wine toast (was €6 but refused point blank to pay it)
- kids club, all kids brought away for two hours (if parents want obviously!)
- first anniversary dinner
- 6 months gym membership (we wont use this so they said they will throw something else in, extra rooms I think for night of wedding)
- tasting dinner for 4, I think we might try to get accommodation that night too!
- evening food T&C, sausages, chicken goujauns (sp?!), mini quiche & sandwiches. They will provide some food for residents bar as well

Think thats it..

Good idea abml mines a 4*+ for 180 -200 guests depending on the fall off rate which I'm hearing is 30% now adays!!
