i priced the Westwood Hotel and was quoted €55.00 per person and im getting married in Sept!! im a bit shocked at €42.50.

The Hotel i now booked is €50.00
-red Carpet and champagne
-use of grounds for pictures
-canapes,finger food, tea, coffee, punch
-four course dinner choice of two for starter and mains
-evening food,
-wine,
-cake stand
-table decor, centre piece
-chair covers, sash
- our room
- both parents rooms
- late bar
- pre dinner
- year membership in gym
- 1st year anniversary weekend to stay

Think thats it, was down at the wkend and got a free dinner

As ours is in a private venue and we are hiring the caterers in - its a little more difficult to quantify.
But looking at some of your deals it seems ours works out probably a bit more expensive.
By the time I add the caterers costs to the venue hire and divide by the number of guests, I'm looking at about €53pp
For that I'll get.

Venue exclusively for us all day as late as we want with access for 2 days before and 2 days after.
Access to complete grounds and buildings for photos
Tables, chairs, linen, crockery, centrepieces
the caterer provides a licensed bar (We're supplying wine for free all night - any other alcohol will be purchased from him)
4 course meal - every little detail picked by us because we weren't restricted to a menu.
Evening food in the form of a barbeque at about midnight

Although the venue have an arrangement with a nearby hotel for accommodation at a special rate - we don't get any rooms free - not even our own.

So that's essentially it.
It works out expensive but we were adamant that we wanted a venue that wasn't a hotel - somewhere very different - and so we're in an old refurbished mill building.

All for 37.50e pp & we're getting married on a Saturday in September :o)ll

Package is 54 pp but they are coming back to me today with a reviewed price and I think we'll go with them if the price is right.

This is what was included:

Civil Ceremony - free use of the room, decorated with candles, floral arrangements & fairy lit backdrop, colour co-ordinated up lights too. Chair covers & red carpet.

All the above plus centerpieces for banquet hall too.

Champ reception for bridal party, pimms cup for guests. Tea, Coffee Sandwiches plus either espresso soups, salmon & brown bread or chocolate strawberries (we've to decide).

Personalised menus
5 course meal, 2 options on main.
2 nights accom for b&G

It's beautiful hotel on the lake with landscaped gardens and the wedding will be a Friday in August so I think it's a fairly good package

Evening Food: (I'm very excited about this!!)
Hot chicken wraps

Goats cheese bruchetta
Pig on a Spit

Wine during meal-glass and 2 top ups.
Sparkling wine for toast

Room for us for 2 nights
Parents rooms for 2 nights
Use of leisure centre for 3 months
Half day spa package for both of us.
Centre pieces on tables.

God, reading over that makes me so excited!! I'll be eating all day! Won't have seen a carb in months!! :compress

I know it's great it's €34.00/€35.00 can't remember have itbooked since September last year, We're getting married in a lodge style hotel, it's perfect for Christmas time, big open fire, wooden ceilings I love love love it

the website doesn't do it justice! have you got a date set?
