Hello Donegal Brides :)
For those of you looking for a videographer, I am originally from Donegal and so don't charge any extra for travel. My prices are possibly higher than other videographers you've been looking at but I like to think the price matches the quality of the finished product. You can view samples on my website and facebook page:
www.makemydayproductions.com/
https://www.facebook.com/MakeMyDayProductions

Feel free to get in touch.

Regards,
Brendan.

My couisn had gerard mcgirr as videographer, didnt hear from her what the video was like, but id say it was good as I didnt hear it was bad, I know she was upset on some of her photos so if the video was bad I would have heard!

Im going with James Carr Media - from Kilcar. He is brilliant - has a lot of clips on youtube, think I have a link to him somehwer on this thread!

As for a male singer - try celtic music agency/big jigs band, they are based in mountcharles but travel. They have a male singer, im going with them for the church!

edited to add the link to James Carr Youtube channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/jamescarrme ... w=0&page=2

Hi all hows the planning going.
Im just trying to sort bridesmaid dresses at the min... saw some lovely cream ones that would suit both my ladies, but im still not 100% on the colour.

Thats a great price for a veil fab2002, i hope it works out well for you. Im in two minds whether to order my veil on-line aswell as prices are mad in shops!!

Silly question, but is anyone going to dancing lessons for first dance??? A friend asked me was I (as a joke) but then its got me thinking maybe we should go.... is there anywhere in the county that offer couples dancing lessons

Hi ladies, how are you all keeping??

Thats brilliant price on the veil and also the candles! Ive got most of the accessories sorted at this stage, I have my jewelry sorted, bm's sorted (given as gifts) and also gm cufflinks which will be their gifts! Just plugging away at bits every week, doing something little, spend a few hours last week writting out a detailed list of what I need to do and really helped me settle my head and see what I need to do, ment I can see exactly what I need to do over the next few months!!

Gosh you lot make me feel so bad! especially ones getting married next year and done more than me lol. It's a struggle doing my course/exams. Having the 3 little ones and getting this wedding organised. My Fiance is seeing about ordering stationey today so that is handy.

I am just worried I have forgot anything,
Not sure what to do about flowers. I don't want to spend a fortune on them and still not found foam ones here. I just want simple as well and cant justify the amount spent on a bouquet from a florest.

I can't believe how time is flying in, we have the honeymoon booked now and the babies dress ordered. Need to call them to see when it is in as I am over in Scotland next weekend where I bought it. I wont be back before the wedding.

powderpink-hadn't thought about doing dance lessons but mite not be a bad idea and everytime me and h2b dance we just go round in circles lol,i use to be an irish dancer so half thinking i mite get up and do a wee step or two with some of my fellow dancers but havent ut any more thought into that yet,Did u get a photographer i'm thinking along the lines of doing a cd only package aswell and make up my own albums some of the prices are mental

grogmg-U havent got that long to go now i bet the excitement is kicking in,i must do up a check list for myself also as my head is away with it half the time and think that would help me keep on top of what i've still to do

mrsflush-where are you based? i found funky flowers in lk not to badly priced for flowers i'm just getting for the bridal party and because my chapel is quite small im not going to any in the chapel maybe just something on the alter for the candles and pew ends got a resonable quote from there unlike the mad qoute i got from another shop.It must be tight going trying to multi task everything,i got my bridesmaids dresses from scotland also my mum brought 2 over at easter so now have to go over at some oint and collect the other 2 before my gran starts charging rental space lol

*next on my check list is bands!! girls who did u all get?
*need to sort out rings i know what i want h2b is proving difficult,i'm thinking of getting mine made as my mum has her mothers ring and there is a ring belonging to my dad and uncle so thought that would be nice and personal
*photographer
*men's suits (h2b is getting married in his number 1's)
*invites (diying here)
i'm sure once i write down a list like grogmg did i will find another 101 things i still have to do,keep telling myself i have loads of time but i have a feeling this yr will fly by

Hi Wollies!

I haven't been on here for a while. I feel like I did so much back before Christmas that there is nothing much left to do since!

Its my hen on the June bank holiday weekend and I can't wait! We're having a 'hag' weekend as in a joint hen and stag because most of the OHs friends and family live in America and we can't ask them to come for both the wedding and the stag! The stags and hens are doing their own things during the day and then we're all meeting up for a good old night out afterwards! :o)ll I'm really looking forward to letting my hair down, I feel like I've been saving money and sitting in every weekend for the last couple of years!!!

I've got all the paperwork done, met up with the priest and have all the parish requirements sorted. I've had my hair and makeup trials done too.. I'm really happy with the results and really great prices too! I had my dress fitting last week too, tried it on with all the accessories and I fell in love with it all over again!! I've got a bundle of invitations staring at me wanting to be filled out but can't seem to start into it yet!! O:| I've got my pre-marriage course in a few weeks and then to be honest i think that'll be it, I'm heading home mid July and then it'll just be the final little bits and bobs to get sorted. :compress

The one thing I seem to have hit a wall with is hymns for the ceremony, they have to be religious and I just can't seem to settle on anything. I'd love to hear some of your choices!

It all seems to be coming together and I really just can't wait for the day now!

Fab2002 I went with the Pat Gallagher Band, we went to see him at a wedding in the Blue Haven in Killybegs and he had the floor full all night! And he was a pretty good price as well in comparison to some of the other quotes we got! :)

HURRY UP TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o)ll :o)ll

I am in Letterkenny as well. I am still toying with foam flowers and was told to try flowerscene in Glasgow. I am over there this weekend for a wedding so might see if I can get to it.
My mum just picked up the babies dress on Monday, can't wait to see it!

I had looked last year at carnmeal. I think I had seen a link here. A friend told me she went on ebay as well. Must get my finger out :)

I finally went looking for my flowers and got all my roses on ebay for €20! I have enough of the two colours to do all the bouquets. I am delighted.

The only flowers I need to worry about are the ones for the tables and not too sure what to do there as we are having long rectangular tables and not sure what will look good on that shape.
I had planned on the long vases with two long stem calla lillies in them but can't find the long ones on ebay as they just have small ones.
