Sorry to hear that - I do hope she get's sorted - what about castlegrove/mount Errigal or Shandon as possible venues now?

@fab2002 - thats terrible for her so close to the wedding!! I would be thinking that any donegal hotels would be now advertising their available dates so to try and get some of the custom off the people who have lost their wedding in the milford inn, and hopefully would do them a good deal. I hope she gets sorted!!

thank god girls she got another venue sorted,most places she checked had weddings on the same day as her's but thankfully she got the hotel in her home place and its nearer her chael als,we are now in the process of finding accomodation for all her guests as the hotel she is having the wedding in only has 1 room available but thankfully the locals from her town are pulling out all the stops for accomodation,especially with it being a holiday weekend she has been so luck,but just thinking of all the other unfortunate brides who might not be as lucky as her, she re wrote all her invites last nite,thank god she had only wrote out the inserts for her invitations and hadn't got round to sticking them all 2gether
hope any other brides from the milford inn are as lucky as she has been,i was chatting to her today and she seems a wee bit more relaxed now she can go ahead with the date she wanted she was telling me there was a bride due to get married in the milford inn this sat and she had to change everything to the tue can u imagine the stress of it all just before ur big day,ur stressed enough as it is without all that on top of it,the poor girl
we were thinking of having ours in the milford inn and the only thing that stopped us was the fact we had been to so many weddings in there lately and wanted something different thank goodness we did,hopfully her day will go without any more hitches

@fab2002 - im soo glad she got it sorted. Was just thinking that, for anyone that has their wedding this week or even this month, it would be very stressful trying to get something at such short notice!! Thats terrible for the girl that had to move it to a tuesday!! Nearly making me re-think my decision to not have wedding insurance!

we got ours from black tie in derry,found them very reasonable and really lovely to deal with

Getting ours in Magee's in Donegal town, there is a shop in enniskillen that is supposed to be very reasonable, just cnat find or think of hte name of it!

This is where we got ours also , they were so helpful and very we got a great deal because we needed 8 suits .Couldn't recommend them enough.

We are getting ours in McElhinneys Ballybofey. Found the selction and quality great.
Service was also excellent and we even ended up picking bridesmaids colours too :o)ll

Sorry for taking so long ot get back to you, the name of the shop in enniskillen, it is sd kells, was recommended to me by a number of people for good quality and reasonable price. I went with Magees because of the handiness as can get measured in dublinfor suits!!

Have good few things booked looking at videographers now thinking Gerard Mc Girr, I see some good reviews up here for him but he only uses 1 camera-does that make a huge difference?? Also finding it really hard to find a good upstyle hairdresser who will do house calls in NorthWest! :o(

Hope everyone is well.
Im hoping somebody can help me find a church singer. Problem is a want a male voice and maybe some instruments.... who can sing traditional Irish songs amongst others. Im not into classical opera style.

mygirl- welcome!!! Ive heard some conflicting reports about the videographer you mentioned but I don't really have first hand knowledge so Im sure some of the other girls on here will point you in the right direction!

havent booked him just yet..so hard to know what to do, most videographers have a few clips online but hard to know what they like really unless someone has actually used them....hmmm what to do!!

thanks dinnys! re male singer have u heard of gavin boyle?he's from the rosses i think, very good heard him at a few weddings he seems quite popular and as far as i remember he usuallt has some type of musical accompanient.
