Hi Ladies - just wondering are any of you selling this dress - size 12 or 14 & i am about 5 foot 4

I'll be selling my dress after my wedding in August but my dress might be a bit long for you.
I'm 5ft 10 and a size 10. Not sure if thats any use.

I posted the same question earlier. Since then I've searched high and low for a dressmaker who knows the Topacio dress. The good news is that De Stafford Bridal in Dublin sell Novia D'Art (I didnt buy there because I didnt live in Dublin at the time - now I do).

Anyway... they have their own bridal alterations rooms separate from the shop and they will alter dresses not bought in their shop.

I spoke to a lovely lady in the alterations place there who knew exactly what dress I was talking about and told me exactly what underwear to buy for the fitting (M&S multiway nude colour t-shirt plunge or balconette bra and M&S highline seamless bodywrap nude pants).

It was refreshing talking to someone who knew what i was on about especially after speaking to so many places who just said "yeah, we do all wedding dresses so Im sure yours will be just fine"

They are based in the City Centre. I have my appointment in a couple of weeks!

I can PM you the number or maybe you could just ring the shop for it..

I had my first appointment last week where they just pinned the dress. Am going in for next appointment next week so I will let you know what it looks like then. Fingers crossed! :o)ll

I went to Belladonna in Galway mainly to try this dress. I was gutted that it didnt suit me. Its so beautiful..am very jealous of you all :o(

Hi Ladies,

I am getting married in Dublin in June, but live in Australia! I have the Topacio dress - but haven't seen it since Christmas. I'm trying to buy a bra here in Aus, but can't remember - exactly how low is the back on this dress?????!!

The pic of the model it looks really low - but she looks like a Giant!!!
I'm only 5ft2" - so just trying to figure out what I can wear under the dress.

I went and bought a corset - but I'm really worried now it's not low enough!!!

AAAGH - organising from abroad is such a pain :duh:

Any help - or pics of real ppl in the dress would be a lifesaver!!!
I've only 4 weeks left - :eek

I don't have any photos sorry but I too am a short arse :o0

And it looks way lower on the model than it does on me if that's any consolation! It doesn't go down as far as it looks.

Hopefully someone else can help you out with photos!

Agree with nugget - the dress is definitely not as low as it is on the model. On me, the back sits around an inch below where my bra strap usually sits. I am going with a strapless bra, which is going to be looped into the dress for me, and that works perfectly for me.

Just be wary with corsets and the like. Anything that has any kind of detail or boning, is going to show under the dress. It's deceptively light when it's on, as in, the teeniest little lump would be quite obvious. So just be sure all your stuff is as seamless as it can be ;o)

Second dress fitting thie Tuesday and the length should be right for this fitting, so really looking forward to seeing it now :o)ll

Where did you order your dress from?
My Topacio hasnt come into the shop yet. Its due in at the end of June. Can't wait to see it again! :o)ll

I just went and bought a strapless bra too - just incase! So I'll see which looks better under it when I get back to Ireland.

I only have 1.5 weeks between my first fitting and the wedding, so was having a minor panic attack :eek

I got the dress in Ciara Bridal - and they have been super helpful though.

Super excited to try it on again now :hyper:

Ladies, my topacio has arrived here to me in Sydney!! The alterations have already been done as I got fitted when I was home in Feb.

I forgot how incredibly beautiful it is! I love it so much I want to cry :heartbeat:

Only 8 weeks to go and I still don't have a headpiece.

How are ye all getting on with your dresses? Do ye have long to go?

My dress arrived into the shop last wednesday and I have my first fitting this friday

Can't wait to see it! I have to bring my shoes and haircomb and underwear with me,
I ended up buying this bra in M&S at the weekend as the girl in the shop said that she could sew it into the dress for me
