I ordered my veil from simplyveils and it arrived today. I tried it on with my dress and it doesnt cover the back at all its very thin, light and see through - love it . It all depends if you really want one I thought I didnt at the start but when I thought about it I would regret not having it later.

I posted the same question earlier. Since then I've searched high and low for a dressmaker who knows the Topacio dress. The good news is that De Stafford Bridal in Dublin sell Novia D'Art (I didnt buy there because I didnt live in Dublin at the time - now I do).

Anyway... they have their own bridal alterations rooms separate from the shop and they will alter dresses not bought in their shop.

I spoke to a lovely lady in the alterations place there who knew exactly what dress I was talking about and told me exactly what underwear to buy for the fitting (M&S multiway nude colour t-shirt plunge or balconette bra and M&S highline seamless bodywrap nude pants).

It was refreshing talking to someone who knew what i was on about especially after speaking to so many places who just said "yeah, we do all wedding dresses so Im sure yours will be just fine"

They are based in the City Centre. I have my appointment in a couple of weeks!

I can PM you the number or maybe you could just ring the shop for it..

Have any of you girls bought your Topacio dress from Ciara bridal in Powerscourt shopping centre? I ordered my dress from them.
Just wondering if any of you know if they are good at altering this dress?? The girl I was dealing with so far seems to know what she is talking about.

My dress will be in at the end of June. I am getting married near the end of August. I want the dress to be finished and all by early August. So it leaves me with about 5 weeks for alterations.
I don't think I will need to have it altered much. Just the length maybe and take it in a bit. Everything else I love about the dress.

I have seen pictures of a few girls who have got this dress and either they have gotten it altered strangely.
I have seen pictures where they have gotten the dress altered so that the front of the dress that is meant to sit just on the shoulders(kinda like capped sleeves), they have got it changed so that it goes over the shoulders like fat straps.
Then as a result, the back of the dress looks wrong.
It doesn't go into a nice V shape the way its meant to. I dunno if I am making any sense here!

I got my topacio in ciara and they did a fantastic job altering dress. No need to worry there. Dress sat fab on me on the day. Pm me for a pic! As for underwear i got a great strapless bra in peaches and cream. I did my hair like the princess of monaco that got married last year. Can't rem her name! I wore a Stacey hannon headpeice and a cathedral length veil. I looked amazing even if I do say so myself!!!!!

oh could i be cheeky and ask for a PM aswell, i know what mrsbtob is talking about, it's like the straps are too big for the shoulders, so it would be great to see what yours was like.

Im unfortunately not blessed in the chest department, I had the opposite problem, I had pads sewn in just to give myself some sort of a bust that above underwater may work though.

I wish I could see how you will/did all look in the dress, I've only seen one photo of someone in it. Would love to see more besides the model. I thought it was quite a popular dress but I'm yet to see it on any photographer sites or on people I know.
