aw....poor thing! What is it about your dress that you don't like? Maybe it's the fact that you have it a year?? Maybe you don't feel 'wow' in it anymore? But bear in mind that on the morning of your wedding, you will look and feel fabulous with your hair/ make up done. Could you get it altered maybe? Add/ take off straps for example??

Thank you summerbride for your reply, it is already strapless so there isnt much i can do wit it, I told my HTB last night and he insisted that if i dont like it to go out and buy another dress, i was trying to explain its not that simple that dresses take ages from when you order them, and then i felt so bad as ive already wasted 500 euro on the dress i have why did i leave it in the back of my mind for long and not just face up to the fact that i dint like it. Now its 5 weeks away and im dreading putting on the dress on the morning of my wedding, i keep going up to my mothers house to look at it to see if i feel differant. : (

I think you need to try it on with all the accessories, veil, hair done etc and then see what you think. If you still don't like it then maybe you can contact some bridal shops and enquire about smaple sales etc. Also you could look at second hand bridal shops?

I know there is one in Cork called Memories? Maybe others could advise you of places as well.

+1 you might change your mind again. Have you had your hair? If not then try the dress on again with all your accessories and you might feel different. I was the same as you - bought a sample dress and then once I had it I didnt like it. Even the week of the wedding I didnt like it but then the morning of the wedding i loved it with hair/tan/make-up and all together..

What area are you in? Just incase you still dont like it and maybe we can suggest sample sales near you..

can you add straps to it - halter neck or one shoulder? Or even add a sash to it. Something simple could transform it.. Maybe post a pic and we can give suggestions..

This is teh only photo i have, its fish tale with long train. Even looking at that photo I dont like it - why did i leave it this long to say it out loud. Only just told my mother at lunch i hate my dress and she almost fell of the chair 5 bloody weeks before wedding.

There's a Memories Bridal Boutique in Dublin. It's on Parliament Street in Templebar. I went there to try on dresses and it was lovely. The guy there was really helpful, and they had a great selection of dresses at really good prices. All the dresses are off the rack so there's no ordering and waiting around. They'll also do any alterations I think. I didn't end up getting my dress there in the end but I'd highly recommend them if you're looking to get a dress at short notice.

I think it's gorgeous, maybe put on the dress, all accessories, do hair, makeup etc and take a photo, see how you feel looking at that?

I know this may sound silly but check out charity shops. A lot if them get brand new dresses donated by bridal shops... oxfam I think have a designated wedding dress shop in Dublin! Worth a try!

Well for what it's worth, i think the dress is gorgeous, but if you're not happy, then have another look round shops. If you had the option, what kind of dress would you now like?? Draw it out, and compare, i wonder would it be very different? Try it! Just wonder would you know what type of dress you would go for now. Just remember why you chose the dress in the first place!
