How many bridesmaids are you having?

Im having 3 only wanted 2 at first but H2B wanted 3 groomsment so i had to change dont really mind though :wv

Well I'm having 3 bridesmaids (my sister and 2 closest friends) and then 3 junior bridesmaids. H2b really wanted his nieces and nephew involved but his nieces are too old to be flower girls and I don't personally like the flower girl thing. I regret it a little just because their mothers are being a bit of a pain in my behind about what the girls can and cannot wear but I figure on the day it'll just be a case of the more the merrier! Besides the girls were so happy when I asked them that it made up for any hassle. Might also make me the favourite aunt...! :o0

my sister just had one BM (me!) & it looked fine. it was a small-ish family wedding anyway, so she didn't want or need any more, & it was easier on her budget. i also got a dress i could wear again & have it worn it several times since.
i'm having 3 - my sister, my OH's sister & a friend.

I'm having 4 BM's (2 sisters, Best Friend (all of whom I've been BM for) and my 21 year old niece), then 2 Junior BM's (aged 12 & 9) and 2 flowergirls (aged 3 & 2). Some people might think it's over the top but I couldn't possibly leave anyyone out so I said F*ck it!! I'm delighted I asked them all now as they are all so helpful and really excited to help out with anything needed.

H2B is having his best friend as Best Man and 3 brothers as Groomsman so it works out grand.

I couldn't leave anyone out - I wanted all 5 girls at my side!
OH is only having 2-3 groomsmen, and we're not having any junior bridesmaids, flowergirls or ringbearers.
Completely uneven bridal party, but we don't care

I was a little bit worried I'd cause offence by not asking OH's sister since he only has the one but she's on the other side of the world so maybe that's why no one has even said it to me. Instead we've asked her to sing in the mass, so she's still doing something really important. :o)ll

I'm having 2 BMs, my 2 sisters. OH has 2 brothers so it was evenly matched. He wanted to ask his friend because he was groomsman for him but I couldn't choose between friends for a 3rd (and OH has no sisters) so he settled for just the 2 groomsmen

Yep- hence my 5 BMs! I really only wanted my 3 friends but OH asked my brothers to be GMs so I felt kind of obliged to ask his sisters. I wasn't forced into it or anything- they are lovely girls and I'm happy to include them. Just never pictured myself having 5 BM, 5 GM and a flower girl.

Yeah - he has one step sister who is 18 same age as my sis, she told me she was my bridesmaid. Ah well its important to him

i'm having one and my brother's wife had one. I think its just lovely and somewhat intimate.
i've my oldest bestest mate and couldn't think of anyone else I would want. my OH has 4 brothers and would've liked to have had them all groomsmen but I thought its just silly and like the 1 and 1. so thats what we have.
also 2 flowergirls..my niece and my bridesmaid's daughter...again no contest

Phew- lots of other people have only one!
I like the idea of junior bridesmaids that some people are having. I have some nieces and nephews who I haven't asked to be junior bridesmaids, flower girls or page boys. Maybe I am a bit mean in not asking them though? They have never been at a wedding before where they haven't been in the bridal party. I made the decision not to have them to save on expense and also because I felt they had done the job enough times before for it not to be a novelty. I have asked my eldest niece to read at the ceremony instead which she is chuffed about
