3 and 4 are fabulous! love the vintage look.
What colour are your bridesmaids dresses? you could do a pale tone of their colour on the sash/ribbon to tie it all together

+1- I also like no. 2 aswell. I would suggest maybe speaking with a dressmaker about your options- they would have the best idea how to stitch on a sash to complement the back of the dress and what type would work best with the design. Best of luck :wv

girls - thanks so much for the input! :thnk

i'm going to order some ribbon off ebay & a beaded applique off etsy (should only come to a combined cost of about e12) & do a trial run first. hoepfully my shop will be able to get in a sample of my dress fabric as it'd be handy for matching stuff up.

once i know what definitely suits, i'll splash out on something nicer then!

ortees -that's a good idea about chatting iwth a dressmaker.... must go & find one now!

will let you all know how it get on! thanks again!

Dress is lovely on you.I would add the sash though. If your dress has to be turned up would there not be enough material to make a sash?

Thanks Bales - I had to order extra length as the sample was too short so I won't be having anything removed from the bottom. But a good idea though!

I think number two of the etsy ones is fab! I wouldnt go for something too think because of the back of the dress but I think the thinner one will make the dress for you!!

It's absolutely gorgeous! so classy and elegant.

I like 1, 2 and 4.
3 and 5 aren't nice at all, think a sash would look fab with your dress as long as the back is done right, BOL :wv

thanks bride2be! yep, i agree - something not too thick or overly blingy would work best, otherwise it might clash a bit!
thanks morningsun - yep, it'll need to be the right width & positioned properly at the back in order for it not to look weird!
fingers crossed!

Hi. I think your dress is gorgeous, d anI think a sash (not too wide) would really add to it.
