Massive congrats to all the babies born this week. I was due on 3rd April (or 4th). Our darling daughter was born on Friday 13th April at 3.44am. Contractions started at 10.30pm on the 12th and came thick and fast. It was seriously the best experience of my life and i would do it over and over again. I had a wonderful birthing experience and I count my blessings every day since. After 4 hrs of contractions...most of which were killer but i just kept thinking, my baby is coming, my baby is coming and i would get so excited. Have a few issues with the care I was receiving prior to hitting active labour but thanks to all my Yoga training and breathing and the confidence it instilled in me I was able to stay within my own zone. I stayed there in my head and heart and thankfully didnt let anyone else in, except DH who knew what i was at. I well believe that baby and I did it on our own - until we got to the delivery room. LOVED the 2 midwives in there. Thery were amazing. They were only mid 20s and one of them was a student but i would certainly happily put my life in their hands again. DD came out after less than half an hour in active labour and after about 5 pushes and for my first baby I was well chuffed with myself. ALl those old wives tales you hear about before you give birth on your first are aload of rubbish. I went 10 days over and the amount of people who actually "Told me" how the experience would go for me were all wrong. I was thrilled with myself and my baby for the amazing experience we had. Every birth is different and every woman is different. I honestly think ill be requesting that on my head stone. haha!

Havent been on in AGES!! Congrats to all the new April mammies! I had a baby girl weighing 8lbs 4ozs on the 7th April, she was 3 days early and had a very quick labour just like her big bro. Hi girls how are all the new mums getting on? Everyday I learn something new and I'm getting to know my little cutie a bit better... She's a great baby and able to sleep 7 hours straight at night!! We are blessed
unfortunately I have another infection in my episiotomy site so frustrating having to go on antibiotics again and still being in pain  ... Is there a forum for all us April 2012 mummies so we can keep in contact with all our baby info and questions?? Hard to believe all our babies are here now!
