+1 !

Love this song at a wedding - it's usually a floor-filler and ok some guys go a bit mad but i've never seen it taken to extremes and certainly no exposure :ooh

Dammit! Colabottle you've outed me :o0

Just kidding ... but I do live in Sligo :innocent:

I never thought to get our DJ-ing mate to play this at our shindig, I'd've loved it - the air guitar, not so much the exposure :o0

I LOVE IT..

We had it at our wedding and it was great. Everyone was up bouncing about having a good old laugh. The bridal party got on the stage and danced. Plus the DJ provided blow up guitars and instruments and that added to the craic.. There was no-one up on the table or anyone exposing themselves.. GO THUNDESTRUCK

A regular at a few of the weddings I have been at has been the theme song to the sunday game and all the lads marching along to that with their trousers rolled up and there sock pulled up then going mental to Thunderstruck afterwards.

Another friend of mine has started a skipping tradition at every wedding he has been to. All the ties get tied together and the bride and groom go first then everyone else follows, its a bit of craic.

Whatever about wedding receptions, this is one of my top driving songs ever, part II. Na na na na na na naaaa na. You been (dunt, dunt, dunt) THUNDERSTRUCK. It then leads into a blaring, dirty guitar riffing dose of Black Betty. Reserved for motorway driving only, mind you. The speedometer has a habit of creeping upwards when I play this sorta stuff. Plus, I've a terrible involuntary habit of doing a Wayne's World-esque head banging routine while this compilation's on, so I prefer not to make a holy show of meself around the country lanes of home (where every body knows your name).

Did anyone see brides of Franc tonight???
The biker bride had this song as her arrival song!!!! Wtf!!!
Like I said before about this song, I hate it and from the program earlier tonight I rest my case on it bringing down the tone completely.
Absolutely awful song to have as entrance song!!.

Yep I saw it, thought it was very good. They were having a very different wedding and it really suited them, I mean she went up the aisle on a motorbike and he was in leathers!
It just goes to show that different things are for different people, as Franc said he knew that the wedding was different and he also knew at least 2 people at the wedding that were very happy. Sure life would be awful boring if we were all the same!

Aw i love this tradition! We have really funny photos of my DH and his rugby team with the rolled up trousers and ties on heads with DH on their shoulders while doing air guitar at our wedding. They tried to get me up on shoulders too but i ran away, scarlet! :-8
