Read them last week and enjoyed them. Definitely not the best writing the world's ever seen but I love Hunger Games and Twilight too! The story interests me more than the writing.

Yeah i have to agree with above!... I read it for the story and not the writing ... I don't think the writing has ever put me off a book, yeah the writing was VERY simple in the 1st twilight, im glad she got someone to help her with the rest of them as i felt i was reading at a 1st class level .. But i don't find the writing to be as painful in these...
As i said .. the story .. not the writing :compress

I saw an article about this on the Daily Mail website a few weeks ago and did a bit of googling and read some of it on Amazon (the "Look Inside" function) and thought it looked dreadful.

Smiley Kaz I've just finished the Penny Vincenzi Spoils of Time trilogy and it was really good. The first book is called No Angel. The first book starts back in the early 1900's and the third book finishes in the 60s (I think). It's about a family in the publishing world and includes both the World Wars (not overly historic though). Really enjoyable.

I also really liked Philip Pullmans His Dark Materials. The fist book is Northern Lights (made into that dreadful movie The Golden Compass). They're fantasy novels set in an alternate universe very similar to earth which I wouldn't usually like but I found these really good.

I had heard so much about this book on Today FM a few weeks back I had to get it. To say I struggled to finish it is an under statement. I skipped chapters and it was still torture.

Its pure sugar- the writing, the story I dont even think the sexy bits are sexy. I found bits of it disturbing (when he spanks her so hard she is black & blue & cant sit down?!!! lovely just what I always thought my sex life was lacking!!!!)

anyway will not be buying the other 2 books. a 5 year old could write this sort of sugar,
