HerritageItaly I did an Avalon Course and there was nothing said about it by priest etc...so I'd say feic them, do it its shorter and cheaper!!!! I did say to my priest (who recommended I do an accord one, that they were all booked up and therefore had to do the other one). Bless me for lying to a Priest!!! O:o)

For anyone thats been - is it realistic to fly out of dublin one day and come back the following day taking into account flying into Rome making my way out to borgo staying there then next day making my way back and flying home

Hi girls

Got married in Borgo in April, got lots of info here so said I would add my thoughts!

We had the 25euro set meal the night before the wedding, it was fab, had it up in the Borgo.

The wedding was down in the Masello, thankfully the weather was lovely as the 2 days afterwards it spilled! Everything went perfect! All the guests raved about the buffet especially the aubergines!! We were off getting photos so missed most of it! We were just going to have plated deserts but glad we changed our minds as it was lovely to head out onto the terrace for cake and deserts. We also had chinese lanterns which went down a treat. Loads of the guests had never seen them before!

We didnt go with a band and just had a dj. Was initially worried but everyone was up dancing straight away and it was almost 12 by the time we were ready to head back inside for music.
The free bar lasted til one and people just paid for themselves after that.

The day afterit spilled rain! We went into Bracciano as I though people might be getting cabin fever at this stage! Unfortunately most places dont open again until 4 so people were wandering around for a while. So just be aware of that! In fairness some restaurants opened up whrn they saw groups walking around in the rain!

We had the BBQ that night in the Borgo, awful wind and rain! Food was lovely, however the atmosphere was a little subdued as people were wrecked from the previous night and also from the few hours in Bracciano!
Thankfully we had booked Micky Martin to play music in the Favole! He was excellent and really got the crowd going! He had an excellent range of songs and was more than happy to allow guests up to sing with him. Everyone was up dancing! I really am glad I booked him as it might have taken a while for people to get going again!

Gianni Fantauzzi was our photographer, he was excellent, very professional and got some really nice pics. He didnt miss a thing! He gave us a low res CD of the photos the night of the wedding too - efficient eh!

Louise Faulkner was amazing - cannot reccommend her highly enough. Did a fantastic job and a really nice girl! We had the local girls in to do the guests hair and make up and everyone seemed happy.

Steve and all the staff at the Borgo were superb. EVerything on theis website about Steve is true! He really is unbelievable! He is on the ball and has thought of everything even before you have! The staff were so friendly and helpful too. lots of the guests commented on this. The night of the wedding and the BBQ were very late and the staff were happy enough to leave us at it and get on with tgetting things ready for the following day. They even brought out sandwiches for us when people were getting peckish!

Borgo was an amazing experience, surprisingly easy to organise. Such a great time..........

Everything was AMAZING!! Our guests had an absolute ball! Borgo di Tragliata is the perfect wedding location and Steve the perfect planner!!

I will write up a full report in the coming weeks but girls ye are in for the most wonderful experience of your lives :o)ll
