Nerja brides 2013

Hi everyone

Just wanted to start a forum for the 2013 brides. We are hoping to get married 24th may in el Salvador church soooo excited can't wait. Just waiting to hear about the date. Previous nerja brides how long did ye have to wait to hear if ye got the date. I know it's may but is it around the beginning of the month. We are also going over again in may to meet our wedding planner sonya and she is a great help. Any suggestions for where to eat ? Thanks

God I remember the 2012 thread starting and thinking it was soooooooooo far away and now I only have 6 months to go!

As far as I can remember we got our date set at beginning of may, it's great feeling getting it booked, our planning really took off after that. Have you thought about a venue or anything yet? We're having ours at hotel la vinuela with ceremony in el Salvador too.

Nerja is such a lovely place, you will never be short of anywhere to eat. We absolutely love tapas and could spend all our time in tapas bars but if your looking for somewhere nice as a treat carabeo 34 is really nice as is Restuarant first out by marinas de nerja hotel.

Six weeks tomorrow and we'll be back in nerja for our menu tasting and few other things...not that I'm counting or anything :o0

O wow congrats I'm sure the time will fly by

We are having a small wedding and we are having it in the Carabeo. We weren't to keen on restaurant first the last time we went there.
We are fairly organised having a meal tasting when we go over in may and getting hair and make trial.We are also going to meet a florist and musicians as well.
Can't wait to make the date official :yelrotflmaosmilie:

Wow you are very organised! Carabeo 34 is lovely, we brought friends over in sept to see nerja and we took them to 34, the terrace is lovely in the evening with all the lanterns around the pool lit and Spanish guitarist playing, it's a lovely spot.

I know exactly how you feel I sort of felt I couldn't do much until I had the church confirmed. If you need any more info or help just let me know, it can all be a bit overwhelming at the start!

Ya I know but I still feel like i'm forgetting something. Thank god for our wedding planner i'd be lost without her.
We fell in love with the carabeo when we were there and it suits us perfectly for our small wedding

hey! we are hoping to have our day in May, headed over in April to view some venues even though i have already fallen in love with one on line! trying to stay a little open minded to others we may view though! Looking at the church in Maro for our ceremony, friends of ours had their wedding there and i loved it!

Can it take ages for the church to confirm? Makes me want to call them tomorrow :eek

soooooooo excited about it all! will be delighted when we have the date finally set!!

as far as i can remember el salvador church doesnt open its books for next year until may of this year so nothing can be 100% confirmed until then, might be different for the church in maro tho. Its a pain having to wait but thats the spanish way :o0

I just saw your post on facebook at lunchtime and thought i'd watch wee half hour on my lunch...two hours later i was still glued to it :o0

i had few teary moments watching it, such a lovely video, you all looked so happy and loved up, it looked like such an amazing day and your speeches were fantastic! Big congrats to you both and i really hope you are enjoying married life :lvs
