I posted awhile back under a different name as had got my bfp on new years eve. Well I'm now posting it under my normal user name as i went for a scan today and am 12+6 and due the 7/9/12.
Loads of :babydust: to everyone. I never thought this day would come I'm 41 and this is my 1st. We have been trying since 2008 and was trying to lose weight before starting ivf lost some then had mc and put weight back on, so was very very surprised with this bfp.

Hope to see more post soon with good news.

Congrats Mrs. Celtic. It's good to read the positive news here, this will give me hope at least :)

Have moved on to looking into the TTC with assistance board but it's fairly quiet there. Had my lap & dye and the tube is just completely messed up, nothing to save there at all. Also access to ovary was almost impossible.

Have my post-op at the end of this month and will find out what the options are, if there are any.

I'm in a bit of a state, even though I kind of expected bad news. Didn't think it was going to be that bad and just start crying randomly during the day.
Have a sick note from the lap until Monday but just don't feel ready to go into work. I just feel like I would burst into tears any time someone is asking me how the surgery went. I have told work that I just went for a routine op, nothing about fertilty...thought it's none of their business anyway.

Anyway, fingers crosses I'll get some good news at the end of the month. This thread is definitely lifting my spirits and there does seem to be some hope :)

Hi Girls
Thanks for your reassuring replies was really nervous about the whole thing but it went fine as you all said it would. Was in the threatre within 30 mins of getting to the hospitial so had no time to think about it at all which was a good thing. Results were all clear too which of course I am very happy about. So have to wait until next consultation to see what next.

Mrs Celtic I am delighted at your fantastic news :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll You truly truly deserve it after all this time. The very best to you and your hubby :o)ll :o)ll Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy Enjoy.
Yvonne 0815 so sorry to hear that you got bad news. I can understand why you are so emotional :action32 . Could you get an extension on your cert if you don't feel like you are ready to go back to work and give yourself a breather. No one at work or home knows about our fertiliy issues which can be hard at times. Take care of yourself and hopefully the next consultation will involve a way forward for you both.

Thanks a lot for your kind words goingforit and I'm glad your lap & dye went well. Fingers crossed that you'll get some good new at your post-op.
I'll call my manager and will get an extension for sick cert. I think I'll just need a couple of more days to chill. Haven't cried today at all, which is good. I'm normally not that bad at all. I suppose finding a pair of shoes for my wedding helped ;o)

Good luck to everyone here and hopefully we'll see some more BFP's soon :o)ll

Yvonne, hope you're feeling a bit better today and you got that extension for your sick cert and are at home minding yourself. :action32

Goingforit, that's great news about the results - you must be so relieved. But probably right about now you're thinking "well if everything is fine, what the hell??". I hope the next consultation gives you some answers.

I'm off for repeat blood tests this week - they've done two sets of CD21 bloods and whilst first was bad (probably cos it wasn't 7dpo but 10dpo), we got the second ones on the right day and they were fine. But my cholesteral was high so they want to retest me for that whilst fasting, and do the 7dpo again, just to be sure (I'm presuming it's the 'oul 2 outta 3 ain't bad' rule).

In the meantime, I'm 4dpo and I got upset last night watching Marley & Me and sobbed and sobbed and sobbed - it wasn't even the bit you think it is, it was when Jennifer Aniston starts talking about having a baby. It just hit me that I really thought I'd be one of those who got pregnant pretty much straight away. One of my best friends is coming back from maternity leave this week - I thought when she got pregnant I'd be a month or two behind her. Just hasn't happened yet. No reason to believe this month will be a success but also no reason to believe it won't. There's just days that you feel about 102 years old...

Hey Goingforit, sorry to hear that. We're heading up close to our first year and it doesn't get any easier, does it? Have an appointment with Sims tomorrow - i can't believe that it has actually come to us going to a fertility clinic. But my doc seems to think that it's simply a hormonal problem (low progesterone) that can be fixed easily enough. Part of me is happy that we're doing something, the other part is devestated that we weren't one of the lucky ones who get pregnant straight away.

Desie girl, best of luck for April/May and IVF treatment.

Best of luck tomorrow with the appointment and I hope it is something easily fixed for you both and it gets sorted soon.
