Not sure what the "done thing" is - but I think I counted it from the first day of my real period.

Well my cycle regularity was too good to be true - I'm six months off the pill now and up until cycle 4 things seemed to be going ok - I ovulated each cycle and had a 12 day luteal phase. Here I am now on CD37 and still no sign of ovulation O:|

A few weeks back I started taking B Complex as I was hoping to lengthen my luteal phase - and I have since read that this can delay ovulation itself - so needless to say, have stopped taking those!! >:o(

I hate being in limbo. I had a couple of days of feeling sick and being dizzy, about a week back, and I thought maybe I was pregnant- but sure my temperature has barely risen during the past month - surely I would need to see that I have even ovulated before I could consider a potential pregnancy??

Dag nammit - I just wish SOMETHING would happen so that I can get back to square one and know where i'm at again ;o(

Hope the rest of you gals are getting on ok ;o)

Hi Steph,

Are you taking your temp at the same time every morning? Also, did you have any big nights out and comsumed alot of alcohol? I remember talking to my doc about temping and she was saying that sometimes the temp increase is so small it's hard to notice. Also, alcohol can affect body temp.

THe other thing is maybe you are just a bit stressed with the wedding being so close? Have you done a pg test? Maybe you should to put you mind at ease. Especially with the run up to the wedding. Xxxx

I really should do a PG test, but the truth is I'm terrified. If it was BFP I don't know how I'd feel - have my first dress fitting next week - I'm supposed to be watching my figure :-8 What if I had a little bump in my dress :eek

CD39 today and still nothing - temperature has taken a gradual drop over the past few days so I'm wondering if I'm on my way to an anovulatory bleed? CM has been consistently creamy for ages now ;o(

I have been pretty consistent in taking my temperature and I very rarely take a drink. I would often take my temp after disturbed sleep though!! I think this cycle there were only two temps that I took about an hour after the usual time. I usually have quite low temps and I think this may be due to my underactive thyroid. My infertile temps are always way below 36 and post ovulatory temps usually struggle to make it past 36.20. Had my thyroid bloods done last week so if they come back showing that my meds need to be increased, then that could also explain what's going on?

You know when you're out of sync, and you spend ages every day researching stuff on the net. It makes me nuts O:|

Was looking for a thread like this last night ot ask some ques glad to see it today. I finished my pill 2 wks ago, got Af 2 days before finishing packet (missed 1 pill towards d end), anyway just wondering is there any chance of me possibly getting pregnant this month without tracking my cycle etc? I had 25-27 day cycles on the pill, so therefore i think i would be due to ovulate this weekend??? We DTD twice so hoping it might do the job as dont want a BFN or to be PG trying ofr ages, i dont want it to become about having a baby so we are not "trying" but not being careful if u get me? Will i have any chance of ovulation being around now first month off the pill? As i am on CD12 should i maybe get some OPKs?

It is very possible to ovulate first cycle after the pill. I did and I know lots of others who also did.

You are used to 25-27 day cycles, but it might take a few months for you to get back to that kind of regularity. On the other hand it might not, and you could well revert back to those cycles straight away.

If you use a 27 day cycle as your standard, and you have a 14 day luteal phase, then you should be ovulating on day 13 of your cycle - so that's 13 days after your period starts. If that's the case, and you're currently on CD12, you should be making sure to DTD today!!! Have you noticed any EWCM? - a sure sign that you're about to ovulate!

It's hard to say really - for example what if you don't have a standard 14 day luteal phase, which is very likely if you've just come off the pill - so say your luteal phase is only 10 days as an example, then that would mean you're not due to ovulate until day 17 of a 27 day cycle. It's very hard to know where you're at without keeping track of a a few cycles first. No harm in trying anyway to see what happens ;o)

Best of luck xxx

Steph - I didn't know about your thyroid issues - maybe that has something to do with it alright. While you are waiting for your blood results would you do a test anyway? I know it's terrifying but exciting at the same time! If you are pg though I don't think you will have a bump for your wedding so you've nothing to worry about there. This is a personal question so feel free to not answer but have ye been using other contraception? I'm getting excited for you!!!! The wedding is so close now :o)ll

Ttc2012 - yeah when you get a smiley face on an opk it means that you will ovulate in the next 24 hrs so it's time to get busy!!! Best of luck :babydust:

I've a week Of my pill left and I just want to stop now. Should I finish the pack? It's a progesterone only one so there is no 7 day break so I'm thinking it won't matter anyway. Gosh I'm sooooooooo excited but I know I'm gonna become obsessed :eek

We haven't been using any contraception - but we've not being DTD a lot, because I'm trying not to be pregnant for the wedding :-8 Anytime we have DTD, H2B has always pulled out before, well, you know! >:o)

So I'm telling myself that it's highly unlikely I'm pregnant. My past cycles have always shown a clear temp shift at ovulation - so I'm thinking if I had ovulated this cycle, why would it be any different? I should have seen that temp shift and it just hasn't happened. So that's why I'm trying to convince myself I'm not pregnant just at the minute. Silly really. In a few weeks I'll be going mad to be pregnant :duh:

Blood results for my thyroid should be back this week. I had told doc that it doesn't look as though I ovulated, so she said she would ask for hormones to be tested aswell. Not sure what they'll check exactly, she didn't go into any detail - hopefully by the end of this week I'll be a little closer to knowing what's going on. CD41 today and not a peep. I really hope something will happen in the next few days. Doing my best to put it to the back of my mind - it could be like a vicious cycle, I'm stressing about it and so that in itself could be delaying things. Deep breaths :o(

Hmmmmm I'm not sure about ovulation given what you've said about your temps. I think you should test just so you can put the pregnancy issue out of your head. At least you will know then either way. It does seem like you are stressing which is a vicious circle, like you said. I reckon it might just pre wedding stress interfering with your cycle. I was up to 90 before mine. I'm sure it's normal and nothing to worry about
