hi ladies how are ye all? have not been on in ages my boys are 11 months now! they are not crawling (dont think they will tbh) and I think they are long way off walking yet, but im not too upset about that, they are wrecking the house in their walkers as it is!! I am selling my nipper as one of the boys hates the buggy he cries from the minute he is in it, sometimes he gets himself in hysterics crying so much!! so I am gonna chance my luck with a tandem, any suggestions girls? i would love a light one, the graco ones seem so bulky and heavy??
hope all the twins are well x

taz devil, i have twin girls and I have just started using the Cosatto You 2 Tandem. It is a light buggy, easy to put up and down, the girls love it. It also fits through single shop doors and all the internal/external doors of my house so its perfect. I know its €300 + euro in the argos catalogue but if you look on kiddicare.com its much much cheaper.

Hi Taz, how are things with you now other than the twins?

My pair will be 3 weeks old tomorrow! All my hopes and dreams of a natural delivery exploded in my face with induction at 40+2 that completely failed and so the twins were born by c-section and I thought we were going to completely fail at breastfeeding too as we were having huge problems with latching, particularly for my little fella. However, I kept pumping and bottle fed for just over a week and last Monday we managed to get going again and have been making great strides with it, with only a couple of bottles here and there when I was feeling a little overwhelmed.

Hope all the twin mammies are doing well and are still around here somewhere.

Actually 8 eggs fertilized in the end, the last one was pretty late though. 2 Morulas (compacting embryos) transferred 16th April. BFP!

Hi guys - haven't been on in ages - would love to join on FB too?

AV - I was going to post this recently - I had my girls in seperate rooms since xmas - as dd1 was sick and teething and waking a few times a night. DD2 was having no bother and dd1 kept waking her. So I had them in seperate rooms for about 5 weeks Id say. I just put them back into the same room a few nights ago and so far so good.

I did get a spare cot to put into another room so in case I'm stuck in the middle of the night or for nap times I can use this in a seperate room. I got a real case from a twin mom I know about doing this - she thought it was an awful thing to be doing - but I decided to stick with it as didn't want dd2 waking unnecessarily.
Anywho thats my rambling done!! :wv

Hi there, I've sent pms to those who wanted to join us on facebook. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find everyone, I used to be able to find people very easily using email addresses but that's not working anymore. Must be something to do with security changes. If you could also tell me what's in your profile picture to make it easier to find you.

Hi girls, my two little ladies are two months old already. The time has gone so fast since they were born in early jan. We spent most of jan and early feb in hospital with them. They were in scbu for almost two weeks, home for a few days and back in to peads, got such a scare. Both had late on set septicemia and we nearly lost them. It still sends a shiver down me thinking back. They got so sick so quickly and ended up totally unresponsive, even to ice. Thank god for a fast acting doctor and brilliant paramedics, im so grateful to the emergency services.

They are as cute as buttons, and have started smiling and cooing away. So nice to listen to them. Its like they are having their own private little chat. They are great sleepers and have slept from 10 till 7 am the past week. They have been sleeping the night since 7 weeks, 11.30 - 7.30. Im like a new woman getting all this unexpected sleep!!
Hope you are all doing well and babies are good.

Love like you've never been hurt

Hi Ladies,

I am wondering if you could guide me in the right direction on baby monitors. I have been looking at the Angelcare monitor, so I am wondering would I need to get one with Movement and Sound, and one with Movement only? Have any of you used these?

We have our cots, and buggy sorted, so are there any other items that I may not think of, that you have learned that are important from experience other than the essentials?
