New IVF/IUI Thread

Re: New IVF/IUI Thread

Postby IvytheTerrible » Fri May 11, 2022 8:22 pm

Hi everyone :wv I can't keep up with this thread at all, I really feel we are all due some good news and I have everything crossed for some BFP's in the coming weeks :babydust:

Jewelb- hope you are surviving the 2ww. If I ever get to this, I was contemplating going back to work, it's only a temp job and I love it, not that much stress or physical. DH has told his manager as he knows him for years but I am holding off telling mine, for a start there is no privacy in the office and I kinda know a couple of people there who are relations of good friends of ours, I would worry the cat would be out of the bag. CFC does offer ICSI if needed but you pay extra for it. I also did acu but my follicles did not grow evenly, it's no harm to do it just in case though. Best of luck to you hun x

AuntieD- I really hope this surgery to drain the cyst works on Monday. Having had a cycle cancelled myself, I know exactly how you are feeling but I also know we would do anything to avoid it so please God you are on here next week with good news.

Slanket, Leaf1 & Busby- Best of luck for EC/ET/FET next week :babydust:

Stillwaiting- positive vibes going out to the two little embies. If I ever get to EC, I know I probably won't have that many either but at this stage I don't care :-8 .

Ouryear and Springlove- thanks for posting, it's heartening to hear the success stories.

Pesto- sorry to hear your story, it must be total heartbreak to get that far and then have that kind of news :action32 to you both.

AFM due AF any day and will be ringing clinic to start short proto (after cancelled long proto) in 4 weeks time.

Hi to everybody :wv

Stillwaiting am thinking of you hun, i know when my due date came round i found it v v hard, hope your doing ok :xox :xox

AuntieD i was due to have a cyst drained in HARI too before my FET, was going to be sedated for it, they dont do it whilst your awake. Mine was gone the day we went in for drainage so you never know.

Am sorry for not doing personals, thread is so so busy can hardly keep up, am thinking of everyone at your various stages in your cycle :babydust: :stork: :stork:

Blimey I come back from work to find this thread has been really busy all day.

Pesto24: welcome to the thread. Sorry to hear that your last cycle did not work out. The money is a killer especially if you don't get a positive outcome to the cycle.
Pesto I would write down all your questions on a piece of paper for your consultation next week because as sure as god there is always an important thing you forget to ask. Don't forget the doctors are also learning different things about why it didn't work and will hopefully tweak things for a future cycle.

Leaf: Best of luck with EC on Wednesday and enjoy your break from work O-O

AuntieD: Fingers crossed things will look much better once the cyst is drained.Really hope things wok out for this cycle.

Slanket: good luck with your scan on Monday. It's getting close now. There is quite a few of us now at the EC/ET 2ww stage now :o)ll
Hope we see some BFP's on here :babydust:

JB: Hope your pampering yourself :lvs

Jewel and suitcase it does feel lie I have bowel problems but it is the worst pain ever on my lower left hand side...they did a scan today and said everything looked fine so I just have to go back if it gets worse.... I was definitely breathless with the pain though I was on the phone to my mom earlier and sounded like I was in labour!
Jewel can u give me some tips for implantation I read so much over the last few months but can't remember anything :-8

Stillwaiting : Congrats on having your 2 embies onboard :o)ll
Looks like we could actually be testing on the same day! :babydust:
Sorry to hear you are in pain.
I didn't have any issues after transfer but then again I didn't have a "fresh" transfer. I was in a bad way after egg collection. Have you been drinking plenty of fuids since EC?
Fresh pineapple is supposed to be good in aiding implantation and they are just yummy! I bought 2 today so have them already for tuesday.

JB: are you really going ga ga......I wish I could have gone back to work but it wouldn't have been feasible either.....why don't you bake a nice cake. I'm thinking off getting out me cookbook and making some carrot cake on my time off >:o)

still waiting if its low on the left it could be constipation i got a bit bungged up between EC and ET after taking the solpadol before ec, but i tok a senokot and it sorted it out, maybe drink loads of water, and have some fruit. def 2nd the fresh pineapple, my acu was poo poo'ing pineapple as she said all it doeas is thins the blood and by all means eat it if you want but the asprin and clexane do the same thing, i eat it beacuse it is yummy and will keep you regular as the progesterone gel can bung you up 2.
other tips i was given are to keep your tummy and back warm if you find your tummy is cold out you hand on it to warm it up, dont use any heat pack or hot water bottles!!!!! no direct heaton the area, but if your just sitting on the couch you could wrap a nice scarf around your waist, also keep your legs and feet warm and put them up if you can keep blood flow good to the womb area, the spleen chanel runs down the inside of your legs down to your ankle and i have one of those little heat sack you warm in the micro, if i find that the inside bit of my leg is cold i will pop this along my leg when i have my feet up, i checked if this was ok and my acu said fine.

im not really feeling anything apart from being wrecked and i woke up with a sore throat but thankfully have no tonsils!!! i was worried about my bm's being very dark but i think its from eating spinach every night with my dinner !! i was worried the asprin was causing internal bleeding and thats why i was feeling so exhausted!!!! :duh: :duh: :duh:
tomorrow will be one wk down and one to go!!!! :hyper: i think its time to get back to normal i have been minding myself like a china doll and it doesn't feel normal so im going to go shopping today!!!

hey to everyone, busby good luck with your transfer tomorrow another person to add to the 2ww !!! yeah !!!!!!! :o)ll
