That's excellent. I think the thoughts of it all and the worry about what might happen e.g. headaches etc is worse than what actually happens. We just work ourselves up into a worry cause we don't know whats ahead. I really hope it works out for you.

Hi girls,

Thanks for all the responses, babybrain I'm only on buserelin injections at the mo, but have my down regulation scan tomorrow so I'll hopefully start stimming either wednesday or thursday, I'm a mixture of excited and nervous at the moment! This is our one and only go at ivf so I'm praying that we'll be lucky first go.

Hi babybrain,

Thanks for asking, on day 11 of stimms today & just back from a scan, I have 16 follicles but only about 7 are viable at the moment, so I'm back again tomorrow for another scan 7 are measuring between 15 mm & 17 mm and the rest are about 10 or 11 mm. So I think they are giving me more time so some of the smaller ones catch up egg collection will go ahead either Thursday or Friday.

Do you know how big the follicles should be before they leave me trigger & do you think some of the smaller ones will catch up?

Slanket, your cycle seems an exact copy of mine! Hopefully the outcome will be the same for you!

I think they told me I had 7/8 mature follicles (i cant remember what size) but on the day of ec there were 10 eggs retrieved.

I think i was stimming for about 12 days so similar to yourself.

I think they may let you go on to Monday just thinking as you take the trigger 36 hrs before ec which would leave you taking it sat night (also the same as me!) But I'm afraid my expertise doesn't extend any further than this!

I'm not working at the mo babybrain so it's working out well, I'm going to try & take it as easy as I can even though I have my 6 year old dd to look after!

Hi babybrain,

I'm just back & have 2 embies on board, a 6 cell & a 4 cell, I'm a bit disappointed none made it to 8 cell but the embryologist said the 6 cell looks good & the 4 cell is excellent quality & they could thrive in their natural environment! It's in the lap of the gods now & there is nothing I can do! OTD is 4 th June.

My friend recently got 2 embies put back cuz they weren't 'top quality' and she is now expecting twins!!!!!

I hope it all works out for you, good luck with the next two weeks, plan some fun stuff to pass the time - -looks like the weather will be nice anyhow. Rest a lot as well I do think it makes a difference
