Glad the mass template helped, CanaryRed! :wv

Pre-marriage course DONE thank feck. Also got the lovely candles at the end of it so I'm going to use them instead of the horrible plain knobbly ones I'd bought!

Have to register intent, either this week or next week depending on how the cashflow situation is. After that I'm on the hunt for wine, shirts, ties, and centrepieces. Make-up trial on Tuesday.

In the middle of mass hell at the min, trying to pick readings and songs that are meaningful. Was actually surprised how the pre-marriage course made me realise that I find all the elements of the ceremony more important than I thought I did!

We did the Accord one too, a couple of hours last night and today - they gave us two candles at the end along with the cert, lovely ones with "Love is Patient, Love is Kind" on them! Ah the H2B didn't take it too seriously but at the back of it he learned a few things, I actually really enjoyed the talks from the Priest and I didn't think I would! If you need a hand printing your inserts give me a shout, I've a couple of templates :)

Not quite 100% re the black pocket fold because some of the invitation has brown etc. Quality of the individual invitation card is a bit skinny but when you glue it onto the pocketfold it will be fine. Also have asked them and you can get a line put in as per Irish style to write the names of the people who you are inviting. Defo order a few samples. I love their website because you can change the copy around and see what it will look like on the screen for your actual invite. They have a live chat facility and are very response. They are always doing special offers too - like 20% off etc.

Hi CanaryRed,

I love the invites you ordered, the sample looks great I think and Im on their site now. Looks very good and prices seem great. When you ordered the sample did you just get a sample of the invite or did any other parts come with it like the rsvp card or thank you cards? Do you also happen to know if you can have changes made other than whats allowed on the website? they seem to be in an american format so you have to order a seperate card for the reception details. If you have any info on this Id really appreciate it.

I think I've got my wedding singer in the bag now, decided to ask a lady I used to work with if she'd do it....just a bit concerned that we haven't gotten around to talking about money yet! I'm not sure if I should invite her to the reception too now...we're not that good friends, she's a lot older than me but our parents are friends. I'm concerned that if when we do talk about money that she'll refuse it...I'd surely have to invite her then, so will really have to have the conversation soon.

So I have still to finalise my invites and flowers....must get off the internet so I can go to the florist's soon!

For anyone getting married at the end of October - what time are you having your marriage ceremony. We were thinking of having ours at 1.00pm, but our photographer suggested we move it to 12.30pm. The weekend we are getting married is when the time changes, but we should still have a good bit of daylight.

I did hairdressing in college and I'm grand at upstyles but I can't cut :o0

The girl who was going to do my hair was going on about GHDs and hairspray and I really don't want my hair to have that crunchy "stuck to my head" look so I'm going to do my own, I have really long naturally curly hair so it won't stay straight for a whole day without a ton of hairspray and I do NOT want that. I have a lovely diamonte & pearl hairband and can do this (but a bit more polished):

In other wedding news, finally made the appointment with the Registrar, Monday the 14th. Have also picked our entrance and leaving songs for mass, now for the rest of them... :o)ll

We're having ours at 1. I plan to be pretty much right on time (maybe 1.05) so we'll have loads of time to take photos before we lose the daylight.

On the ceremony times, although we are getting married on the 6th, our ceremony isnt until 3pm! We had booked the date with the church alright but it went out of my head to go up and pay a deposit and state a time so someone else picked the same day and paid a deposit so they chose the early time of 1pm. So now not only am I concerned about her being late and bumping into h2b (even though priest has ASSURED me that wont happen), but I am also concerned about day light and photos. My photographer even asked would I be willign to cut out the receiving line after mass! PANICKING but is it needlessly?!
Hope springs eternal

I think that I will leave it at 1pm but aim to be at the church for 12.45-12.50 & get photo's done & still hope to be walking up the aisle at 1pm.

We are having ours at 1pm. The clocks change on the 28th don't they? I think there would still be plenty of time for the photos plus photographers should be well used to doing winter weddings too so should be able to plan around this.
