Yeah princess, yes it's an appointment at the hospital...must be 16 weeks appointment...then i have my scan schedule for the 20 weeks in 4 weeks time..so think i'm having appointments every 4 weeks which suits me...a couple of hours off work :o0 :o0

i'm dying for a bump though but then again i should count myself lucky the later it comes the better and won't have to fork out loads on new clothes etc...i'll prob see a big difference come 20 weeks...

Who else is around the 16 weeks mark ?? like i just notice down below very hard and have a wee bump but that's about it... as they say the baby don't go into the stomach around the 20 weeks ..i think :hic :o0 :o0

Im huge too!! But im enjoying it!! Had a great weekend, had H2B's going away drinks and then went out for dinner on Sunday!! but yesterday was gettin bad cramping, so off we went to the hospital, they went to look for the heartbeat but couldnt find one, they seen how distressed I was so they took me up for a scan (they dont do scans on a bank holiday, or so im told) but they were lovely, they really understood our situation, and when they scanned there baby was bouncing around the screen, a big strong healthy hearbeat too!! thank god, I was terrified that within the one week I was loosing H2B and baby too... but thank god someone is looking after us!! They told me that it was stretchin pains along the section scar or stress causing the pain.. I dont feel stressed I feel ok, but inside I probably am freaking out just a little! But trying not to, so was at the doctor this morning for my routine check up and he has signed me off for the rest of this week and told me to take it easy!

o god you poor thing Shootingstar, please mind yourself as in the long run, you'll forget how long the few months were before you have the baby but if anything happened, it'd be so much worse.
On the pain, i have that too along my section scar and panties especially are hurting it, thinking im going to have to change to the bridget jones very soon(the thoughts -yeuch) but the comfort will be great

take care and really do rest while you're offx

Hey ladies hope the weekend was nice and long for everyone!

Was at the doc last week and picked up the heartbeat immediately on doppler. It was great to hear! Have been feeling some bubbles (though not in past few days, have been v busy so maybe just didn't notice). Doc said I wouldn't feel anything til week 25, but sure I definitely have been feeling movement already.

Shootingstar, hope you rest up. Glad all is well. It can't be easy for you at the moment, but this time will fly and ye will all be together again!

Keeley, you sound so neat and tiny! You'll definitely have a bump by week 20 though I'd say! I'm 19 weeks now and have a clear bump, but can still hide it at the same time if I want to. I just look like I've been eating way too much (which I probably have too!!!).

It's kind of an awkward stage because I'm not quite there yet for maternity clothes, but normal clothes are not sitting right. Going to have to get some maternity trousers for work this week. Nothing beats the old tracksuit in the evening though!!!

I'm still in between clothes too. Have a fairly big bump in the evenings but was sell wearing normal work clothes til today. Had to leave 2 buttons open this morning :-8 so went shopping at lunch to get maternity trousers lovely black ones in new look for only €14.99. So got two tops too :) won't need them for another week or 2 tho.

Still haven't felt any movement. Thought it was supposed to b earlier 2nd time round O:| dyin to feel it now.

A friend of mine mentioned that you can get an elastic type extender for your jeans until you actually fit maternity clothes, has anyone heard of this? Must have a nose on the net this morning...

ETA: Found it: have a look at http://www.bellababy.ie/bellybelt-combo-p-1944.html
Think I'll invest in this and I may fit into my clothes for a bit longer.

Hi girls,

How is everyone? I have been terrible for posting. Love reading all of the updates.

Thanks Princess Jasmine - that is exactly what I need at the moment! Been walking around work for the past couple of weeks with my pants half open under a long shirt, lol.

Keeley, I am almost 16 weeks and have my doc appointment tomorrow :) I don't know if she will try and hear the heartbeat. I hope so...

The tiredness is definitely getting less and less which is great. Trying to go out for a walk in the evenings as I will be enormous otherwise. I am up around half a stone already but I know a lot of that was from eating rubbish in the early weeks when I was tired and didn't feel like much else. In the mornings I think I look a bit bloated whereas in the evenings after dinner I look about 6 months gone! The changing body is taking a bit is getting used to. As selfish as it sounds I hated it at first. I think when you're so used to looking a certain way it's hard to adjust, even if you know you have to gain weight and grow. So now I have told myself to cop on and just go with it. I'm waiting to get to that "glowing" stage, ha.

Anyone have any cravings yet? Or miss anything? I love fruit anyway but at the moment I can't get enough of it, especially red grapes (missing the wine maybe!). I also love cheese and am missing brie, goat's cheese etc. I don't eat meat so things are limited enough as it is!

Can't wait for the 20 week appointment now. Shouldn't be wishing the time away, it is flying as it is!

hi girls
hope you are all well, lots of apts going on at the minute!
i started bleeding on monday evening, got the fright of my life. rang my doc yesterday for an apt as was due check up with him, so booked in for that in the afternoon. but at work, i had another little bleed so i rang the hospital and went over straight away. they scanned me and said baby was fine, so i went back to admissions and waited to see a gyn, - she did an internal exam(like a smear) and could see an erosion on my cervix, which is caused by the hormones, and she sent some swabs off to be checked for infection as the erosion can cause that! so im off work now resting up for the rest of the week(although no resting really with a 2 year old)!

i got another scan pic too! delighted! i have my big scan next week!!
cant believe im half way there already!! :o)ll

keeley, glad you had a lovely apt! :o)ll

shooting star you poor pet, you must have got such a fright! when i had my doc apt yesterday there was a trainee doc checking me over, and she couldnt pic up the heartbeat with the doppler, but i didnt panic as i had just had a scan, and i could feel baby kicking when she was prodding me with the doppler!! the doc was panicing but i told her relax!! :o0

glad you are all ok now, espc with your DH heading off! :action32

Poor mammymcphee, I'd say you got a fright when you had the bleed. It's great that they scanned you so quickly though and were able to put your mind at ease. Best of luck resting with that toddler!

Re the bumps, I'm 18 weeks now, and have just bitten the bullet and put away all my "skinny" clothes and pulled out the maternity wardrobe - I borrowed from friends, so I'm really excited to be wearing all this gorgeous new stuff :o0 My maternity clothes from last time around are looking a bit dowdy and well-worn, but I'll try to get some wear out of them as well. I'm so much more comfy in the mat wear, but could defo have gotten more time out of my normal clothes, I just didn't want to!!! Have a nice little bump now, and am proudly showing it off seeing as most people know my news at this stage. Getting lovely kicks and movements most days as well, which is making me *really* excited about this latest arrival to our family (fingers crossed... :babydust: )

Morning ladies :-) Just a quick update from me......im 19+3 at the moment - we have our 20 wk scan next week...really looking forward to it. Heard babys heartbeat at the GPs a few days ago for the 1st time - it was amazing!! :heartbeat: :heartbeat: :heartbeat:

Re bump: its there but i can still conceal it if i want to. Im still in my own clothes (size8) altho probably not for much longer as they are getting tight!

I think ive been feeling the flutters etc for a few weeks now but like others have said as its our first you just never know for sure!!! I think ive been feeling gently kicks too....very cute

I think the honeymoon part of the pregnancy is over though :o0 I am crippled with SI & pelvic pain :o( . Cant get in or out of bed, cant turn in bed, cant get off the loo, cant bend, twist, or walk properly - its very upsetting and frightening. Im seeing a pain specialist in HS soon to discuss options. Already marked in for an elective c section by anaesthetist.
Im looking forward to hearing how you are all doing :action31

Well ladies,

I have gained far far too much, I won't even say and I am going on holidays next week which won't help. I was sizer 10 but may never see it again. I am doing well besides except for bursts of anger towards poor hubby. I am dying to feel baby move and other than that have no symptoms of pregnancy.

I can't wait for the weekend!!
