I was the same until PT in my place (she is actually amazing, I want to put her in my pocket and bring her home!!) suggested that I am creating muscle now and will find it harder to burn fat so she has suggested using the protein shake as a meal replacement for breakfast (I work out in the evenings mostly) as I will still be burning cals from previous nights work out. I am going to purchase this evening so will get all the info and get back to you tomorrow.

[/quote]

Be careful of this eefc... you should only be taking protein if you're doing a lot of weight training. I dont agree at all with meal replacements..... It might just be my opinion, but realistically you're not going to continue on them for the rest of your life so you would be better to just have a normal breakfast and vary it! It will make the weight loss a bit slower but easier to maintain.

Obviously I am no expert and its only my opinion but have a think about it!

Oh you are right in the fact I need more info on it. I do a fair bit of weights - 2 kettlebell classes per week- 4 normal gym sessions with at leat 35 mins dedicated to weights & circut combination... I would be a little cagey about it also which is why I need to ask the PT a couple of questions about it...

Thanks for the advice though :wv

Down half a pound.

I managed to put up a pound over night :o(

Although I think it could be the fact I didnt get to eat dinner til nearly 9.30pm last night and weigh in is at 5am so good chance that it was because I was still full.

On a happier note ..... 20 pounds down :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll Finally! Only 10 to go!! And it also means I get to treat myself to getting my nails done!! yey!

Hubby has gone back to Motivation Weight Loss Management, and he's written up a diet sheet for me too, as he knows which foods are good and bad by now. He's told the girls in Motivation that he's done that for me, and they're well impressed that he has retained so much of the information, considering it had been so long since he'd been there last.

This man would've driven to the bathroom if it were possible - he's now going for 45mins/hour walk/jog/run most evenings. We're being very good at home with no fizzy drinks, no more of his "Ah but just this once for a treat.....", more fruit and protein intake.

In two weeks, he lost 1stone, and I lost 10lbs!!! :o)ll :o)ll We have a goal of a friends wedding at the end of the month. He said he wants to get down another stone by then, I'm not picking a weight target for it, I just want to lose weight in general.

One thing they say in Motivation is - get rid of the bathroom scales!!! It's too much pressure on you.

Dont be putting so much pressure on yourself eefc! Its a healthy weight loss for a week and its still a loss! It can fluctuate so easily with water and morning and night weigh ins!

+1
I sometimes weigh 2lbs heavier at night than in the morning, last night I weighted 3lbs heavier before I went to bed than when I got up,last week I weighed less the night before...all in all - I would say don't get hung up on that at all! I don't even know why I weight myself so much when I know this! *) *) *)

Pick a time to weigh in and stick to it. Wear something (or nothing!) similar each time and choose a time/day that means you'll usually have eaten routinely enough and drank routinely. Basically keep things the same and then look for the change. Don't get too hung up on the actual number and certainly not on the effect overnight, its going in the right direction - thats most important! :wv

Thanks girls- to be honest I am happy enough- I have hit 20 pound loss so I am thrilled I only have 10 more to go before dress fitting!

TFAC- you are right what they say about the scales- it does haunt me a bit and when I was going to WW thats what I loved about it- I had no scales in my moms house and I could only be weighed once a week.

I'm going to plug away though- 8 pounds away from 2 stone loss- not that far!!

Isn't it a great feeling when you're out of a certain number iykwim. I was 13 originally, and now I'm down to 12.2, and hubby said farewell to 20, and welcomed 19.

Thats brilliant..I was as low at 12 stone about 18 months ago before I went on holiday to US but that didn't last long when I got there! Would love to be back there or even 11.5 before the wedding.

Are you following a certain program?? :wv

Hi ladies :wv ,

I posted on here a long time ago so I am plucking up the courage to post again. Anyway, I hit my highest ever weight after Christmas - 12st 6lbs so it's finally spurred me into taking action. I was 10st 4lbs when I got married last Summer.

I've sort of used Lent as an excuse and given up chocolates and sweets. To say these were my downfall is a huge understatement, I was probably eating at least 2,000 cals a day in chocolate alone :-8. I was completely addicted and would sneak off to buy them and hide them from OH and my family. Otherwise I was doing ok with healthy meals and some exercise.

Anyway, 3 weeks in and so far so good, the only chocolate I've had is that new Choccie Philly (yum yum) and some chocolate digestives at my Mum's - she is a terrible influence. I'm using myfitnesspal to count my calories and trying to exercise at least 5 times a week - my goal is net 1200 cals a day. Sometimes I do feel like I'm starving :o0 but the craving for chocolate has almost gone.

I lost 3 lbs each in the first 2 weeks, but last week I only lost 1/2 lb :weep. I was gutted - I'd had one bad day where I'd just gone over 2,000 cals but every other day was around 1200 - 1400 so I thought I'd have at least 1-2 lbs gone.

Anyway I'm 11 st 11 lbs now - my first milestone will be back to wedding weight and then I've to try to drop another stone after that - at my lightest (about 10 years ago!) I was 9 st 5 lbs so would love to get back to that.

You are all an inspiration! I hope I can stick to it and maybe inspire another chocoholic like myself :o0

Oh well!!

I cant do training next week with the trainer but will do something myself every night so that hopefully I will be down when I go back to her. I know I only have a stone left to go but its still hard. Would like to have 5 pounds down by Easter!

Hi All!!

Seems everyone is doing great!!! I'm down a pound this week and broke through another stone barrier...there's a 10 on the stone part of the scales now which I haven't seen in a long long time!! So it's just over 3.5 stone lost. Delighted! But going to relax now and enjoy the long weekend without worrying about the weight too much. Heading out to my old local tomorrow and to a christening on Sunday and will see people I haven't seen in nearly a year so I'm so excited about that and going to go shopping after work for 2 new outfits!! I'll be buying a size 12/14 when the last time they saw me I was wedged into an 18/20. I don't care if this makes me sounds like a vain Bitch...!!!

:yelrotflmaosmilie: :yelrotflmaosmilie: :yelrotflmaosmilie:

What's everyone's plans for the weekend??
