Motivation thread for losing weight...

Ooooo am I the first awake after the weekend :o0

How is everyone doing - hope you all had good weekends? O:o)

Mine was good but bad IYKWIM, I skipped spinning on Friday and then ate over 2300 cals on Sunday :weep. However I weighed myself Friday and was down another pound-ish. 10 lbs 11 oz gone - yes I'm tracking ounces I'm that desperate :-8

You are all doing so well, I am lucky that we don't have a scales at home or I think I would be really depressed. @skybusgirl I am 5' 5" so my BMI was 29 and it's almost 27 now. I want to get to a healthy midpoint - 22ish. Back spinning tomorrow thank god, went for 1-hour cycles yesterday and today so hopefully won't suffer too much.

@MrsOC dying to hear about the christening, would love to rock up somewhere with loads of weight lost to see everyone's reaction >:o)

Has anyone noticed their weight not budging (or even gaining some :o( ) a week or so before their AF is due?

Hubby reckons this could be the reason why I've gained a few pounds, but also I've been doing a lot of walking/running/jogging, so it could also be muscle.

Throw out those scales ladies, they are a nightmare. Ours is so bad, that last night we both managed to lose 2lbs when we came back down from our bedroom!!!! It was literally, I weighed myself, gave out to myself, went straight upstairs to hubby to tell him, both of us walking down to the bathroom, weigh ourselves (without moving the scales) - and there was a difference of 2lbs!!!! O:| O:|

Morning ladies,

Only back in the office today - in a mad rush but wanted to share-

Down 3 today!! :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll In a new stone bracket! Woohoo! :o)ll :o)ll

Will tell all later!

:wv

ETS-

Sorry bout the rush!! So had a dodge enough weekend eating wise but if I think of how I used to be its a vast improvement. Kettlebells and gym last night- huge workout, felt great. Hopped on scales this morning and actually nearly cried I was so happy with result! A pound into another new stone bracket- feels great!! Met a few people I havent seen in a good while over te weekend and they all were in shock at the weight loss. Suppose I didn't think 23 pounds was a lot until h2b made it more relevant! Big night out now on Sat night and as promised, if MrsOC puts up her before as after pics, so will I!!

Hope all is well with everyone!!

Hi Girls,

I fell off the wagon over the weekend. Unfortunatly had some awful news. Think I have probably put on about 4 lbs in the past week.

I am back to work today and getting ready to face life again so back on to the healthy eating. Not sure at the moment if the wedding will be going ahead as we may need to postpone with everything but either way I need to stay strong at the healthy eating if even to just keep my strength up to get through the next few months.

You're all doing brilliantly. EEfc - I am so proud of you dropping into a new stone category!!!

Hi Siobhan,

I hope you are ok - sorry to hear you have bad news. As you said yourself if you can manage to eat healthily then I wouldn't worry about doing any more than that - but it will stand to you in times of stress rather than eating junk (which I have done in the past and suffered the results).

TFAC - I am completely suspicious of scales - we don't have any but my Mum's are like that - every 5 mins there's a slight difference. Now I weigh myself in Boots every week and I can keep the little slips as trackers :o0 .

Speaking of which, another 1 lb lost today (well maybe not a full lb have to work out the ounces later). Which isn't bad after my gorge-fest last weekend. I've managed 2 days of spinning this week and cut down the calories again. I'd really prefer to be losing 2 lbs a week though.

Eefc well done :o)ll. That is so fantastic - you and all the ladies here are inspiring me to keep going.

Hi All,

Hope everyone is well and had a lovely weekend! Nothing new to report weight loss wise at the moment...have had a few busy weekends and been laid up last week with a chest infection that I can't shift so I've really just been maintaining the aul weight and not losing anything...not gaining anything though so I guess thats the main thing!! Meeting the priest this evening so probably won't get any exercise in again but back on the saddle tomorrow ahead of another busy few weekends (H2B's birthday this weekend and then Easter)!!.

How's everyone doing??

Eefc - I'm ready for the before and after if you are??? :wv

Hello there MrsOC,

Disaster Sat night and we ended up staying in (won't get into to much detail) so no after pic to be had (only head shot)

I am however going to wedding on Easter Saturday if you want to wait til then?! I do need to do it - for my own motivation!!

Am still crippled from Kettlebells sat morning- walking is an issue!!

Back on the diet saddle after a break out for weekend- made zero point soup and all last night so hoping to shift 4 pounds over the next 2 weeks to get me to nearly 2 stone down!!

Hope all is well with everyone else!

Hi Girls,

I need a good talking to.. Just havent been able to get my motivation right. I am so annoyed at myself but I have totally been comfort eating. Need to get things right in my head and start today again.

We are going to go ahead with the wedding as planned and just try to make everything work. Hopefully we can do that and it will all work out!

Listen everyone has weeks like that...its a lifestyle change not a diet, we are going to be eating well forever so you are entitled to have a few break outs.

I had a weekend a bit like that myself O:|

whoops!!! Lesson learned...point before you buy :o0

God I can't wait to get out into that sun for a walk later!! Haven't done any exercise in a week and a half between working and chest infection!!! Need to get back into it now!!! I'd say I'm up at least 2lbs :weep AND I've skipped my weigh in the last 2 weeks coz I've just been too busy so I'm dreading standing up on that scales on Thursday.

It's soooo hard losing weight when there's stuff on every weekend, isn't it?? :weep

4 lbs.... up FOUR horrid pounds in the past 3 weeks or so :weep :weep :weep

Jesus I don't know what's wrong with me but as soon as I get to the weight I want I just go CRAZY with food and lash it all back on. 3 weeks to put that on and it'll take about 3 months to lose it again :o(

skybusgirl - are they the Kelkin ones that are 18 cals per cake? I just picked them up the other day and they are tasty! I try have 3 of them as my bit of after lunch chocolate instead of chocolates or a mini kit kat etc - not much difference in cals etc but just to try wean me off eating so many of the mini chocolate bars!
