Basically, if you earned less than €26,000 in any of the last 4 years, send off a letter!! My DH got about €670 and I got about €300 back so happy days!! We were in Oz in 2006 and 2007 so we both got a refund for 2007, probably would have gotten refund for 2006 if I'd applied for it last year, god darn it!! You can only request refund for the last 4 years. And DH was unemployed for half of 2009 so he got refund for then too. No harm in sending the letter in every few years for them to assess.

I sent this letter off roughly 5 weeks ago!! And have heard nothing since!! I was on maternity leave last year so hoping there will be something for me!!!

How long does this take?????

Im hoping it was the fact that they were closed over Xmas and have alot to get through!! I def didnt earn more than 26,000, so fingers crossed get something soon!! O:|

Does anyone know if when you submit your MED1 form, does that automatically do the "balancing statement" thing too? We got our balancing statement a few years ago, for about four years because we applied for bin charges rebates, and got a nice little sum back. Just wondering if I need to do this seperately again or will the MED1 sort it out?
