I agree with a lot of the unpopular opinions! Particularly that a lot of Irish people have no understanding and knowledge of the North and it's history.
Also agree that NO FAT PERSON is happy with their weight.

Not everyone looks good on their wedding day.

For some reason I think brides wearing glasses on their wedding day looks all wrong.

A large amount of people are just not nice. For whatever reason they are just assholes.

A lot of people get offended way too easily and constantly over think situations.

There is some weird reason as to why some women keep having children. I can't quite put my finger on it - it's like an addiction. They may have a number of children, may be struggling to cope, may be broke, not in a good relationship etc - but having more children is still a good idea to them.
I read a a post on M&K ages ago by someone who just had a child, but was considering going again quickly, partly because they missed all the attention they got when pregnant. I thought this was a bit weird.

Who is or who is not breastfeeding is not the big conversation topic with Moms with small babies - it's whose baby sleeps through the night! That's the real measure of ya.

A large amount of people do not live in reality - they live on some far off planet where reality is long forgotten and they can justify whatever rubbish comes out of their mouth and can convince themselves of anything.

People watch way too much TV.

Blogging is a load of crap.

Some posters on WOL are lonely, and maybe lack real life friendships.

Very frequent use of forums, twitter, Facebook etc is damaging to relationships.

Facebook is childish.

Having a child is selfish.

The world is over populated - it doesn't need anymore children.
If people were unselfish they would adopt.

(I want children by the way)

The majority of civil servants in this country think they are killed from work when in fact they get paid excellent money for doing very little. No civil servant will ever admit to this but nor would I expect them to as they believe in their heart and soul that they should be paid much more. (Yes I have a lot of experience of this before you start). If you disagree then you are probably a civil servant.

Primary school teachers have it easy. My SIL finishes work at 2 corrrects a few copy books plans next day and she's done. How easy is that :eek

Some wollies are b*tch know it alls.

Dublin is a sh*t hole, country life is far better. Anywhere else in Ireland is better to bring up children.

I actually looked forward to the recession in Ireland, I had hoped it would make people stop and take stock of what was important to them (family, morals, values). Sadly, most of them are still up their own ar$es.

I wish we (Ireland) were more like England. There, I said it. There's a national pride that the English have that we will never have, and this country will keep on being a sh!thole until we do.

I don't think it's always a woman's right to choose.

I think that once she has kids a woman's place IS in the home. They're more important than she is and they come first from then on. I'm sick and tired of hearing mother's whinging on about not getting enough "me" time. I'm sorry, you chose to procreate, now mind your f*cking child.

I sometimes think that society would function better if we reverted to having well defined class distinctions.

Yes, I'm aware that these are all very un-hippy and un-pc thoughts. C'est la vie.
-Let's eat Grandpa
-Let's eat, Grandpa

That people should show some restraint on this thread. Their honesty is thinly veiled outright b!tchiness and I don't like where it's going.

That national pride often manifests itself as racism. I'm not sure if you have ever lived in England but if you spent some time here recently you might be happy with the Irish staying the way they are. I don't want to sound like a cow but England really is not that great. There are huge issues with violence and gangs and anti social behaviour on a level way above anything I have heard of in Ireland.

I think tarot and all that malarkey is utter pants and it's just a crutch for people who need help.

Facebook, Twitter etc is a load of sh*te

Mark Zuckerberg didn't find the sure for cancer... He just got lucky with a social networking site and I don't get the hoopla about him. He isn't the messiah..

The recession has brought out some dark Enoch Powell kind of sentiments in people. It's disturbing.

Sometimes I just want to rugby tackle a Chugger to the ground when I feel harassed on my lunch break. Leave me ALONE!!!!!

The more of a dolly bird a woman appears on a night out the less hygienic they are. They are the very ones I notice touching their faces and hair, re-applying extra layers of make-up or hair product after just being in the loo and not bothering to wash their hands. Or the morons tottering around a festival and going into the porta-loos in flips flips or barefoot. Vile :hic

Richard Dawkins is a Grade A w*nker

I'm not sure the Pope is even a halfway decent person, let alone fit to be Pope.

Women are their own worst enemies. Between yoyo diets and consuming crappy magazines and then in all seriousness trying to blame society or the beauty industry for feeling pressured. Women are b*tches to each other... We don't need any outside help trying to tear each other down.
