Minkel shes fab! Buddy loves peering out the window as well, any slight noise and he has to have a look in case he misses anything! How old is she?
Think will get a bowl like that. Save my legs from a soaking when he sits down and puts his head on my knee!

Few more photos! As soon as we sit down anywhere he's straight up with the bone for us to play with him!! And if he's in the garden and hears one of our cars coming into drive he comes up to side gate and peers out. Then when he sees us, he runs to the back door to be let in!

Brought him swimming again yesterday and he wouldn't go into the water! The council are doing work down at the lakes so a lot of them are fenced off so we brought him down to canal instead and no joy. Found a spot where there was a pathway down to water so he wouldn't have to jump in but he stood at edge, kept putting his front paws out then quickly backing away and whining! He was dying to get in but couldn't take the plunge!

Did more training with him last night and he can do 'Left paw' and 'Right paw' now its v cute! :lvs

She's gorgeous!

Do you keep their coats long or short? At the moment Buddy's hair is longish and he looks fab and feels like a teddy bear but its hard to keep him clean and he was in kennels when we were on hols and he stinks! If he was shorter would be easier to keep him clean but he looks better long! Decisions!! :o0

At the moment his routine is all over the place - we were away and he was in kennels, then we came home and I went back to work after the summer last week. Then dh's granny died so when I was down at funeral a friend came over to feed him etc so he doesn't know if hes coming or going and hes v noisy at home now - barking, pulling at things etc.;

yip we had the same craic after our holiday - poor doggie was totally acting up (just back to normal actually after 6wks home, we gone for 2wks), just give it time and he will be fine again. think she is just about forgiving us now for leaving her :o0

we usually keep her coat long with 2 cuts a year. i prefer it long lookswise but shorter is so much lower maintenance. longer is better for the winter for warmth anyways but it is such a pain drying her all the time when its raining.

Well I have never had a dog that had to be groomed before. In about may I came home from work and found her dying of the heat outside so sent her off to be clipped. My sister took her as I was working and couldnt get a more convenient appointment. They shaved her completley :ooh

So now its 4 months later and shes nice and hairy again, not long but her neck and head have like a cute fluff going on. I like her this way so maybe I will get her trimmed now and try maintain her coat as it is now.

As for keeping her clean I find her great, she comes in from being in the rain stays in the kitchen for about 30 mins cleaning herself and shes good to come up with us in the sitting room and sleep.

They are such a sleepy breed (or at east I find ours is!!)

Ours is same, he won't go out in the rain unless hes bursting to go to the toilet and at that its literally in and out. If he gets wet he'll come in and stand for us to dry him. Booked him in for groom today - going with a different groomer who is at kennels we send him too and she specialises in cocker spaniels. she has no appointments free till the end of the month so hoping its a good sign that shes busy

How are all the fab doggies? Ours is good, he ate something over Xmas which didn't really agree with him and we have had a few days of smelly farts from him! :-8 Went to pet shop yesterday and guy said it could take a few days to go through his system, to keep an eye on him and make sure hes going to toilet etc and once hes still eating he should be ok.

Did a recall workshop with Dog Training ireland few weeks ago and last night I was walking him with no lead and we met another dog at the lakes who was off lead too and the other dog was mad to play with him. I started walking, called him and he followed! Result! :o)ll So did the other dog!

We got a Christmas card from the lady who grooms him/ minds him and she had the most fab photo of him on the front. (below). Citydeal had offer for canvas for €14 so going to get it on canvas as love the photo.
