ttc after a miscarriageRe: ttc after a miscarriage
Hya everyone, its been a while since i posted here but just wanted to let mamalily know i was thinking of her yesterday.
Im really dreading my due date when it comes around. I think i'll book that day off work cause i reckon i'll be a mess. It would be so lovley if we got some green men here, not to replace the little ones that we lost but to give us hope that we can have normal pregnancies. Am sending to everyone who reads here and never posts, and those who are regular posters. Fingers crossed it will be our day soon Angel baby 11wks. Jan 2012.xx

Re: ttc after a miscarriage
Hi Girl's,
Hope you dont mind me joining in as i need all the support i can get right know, had my 2nd mmiscarraige 2 weeks ago was brought out for early scan at 9 weeks excatly and fetus only measured 8 weeks 1 , last time the same mmiscarraige 8weeks 3 days found out first time at 12week scan, had to wait a week and go back in a week later on both for a DandC, really thought everything would be ok this time round. It was excatly a year since 1st miscarriage, i am fit, healthy but age wise i am 33 will be 34 in Oct, when i was out in the hospital i was told that Cork university maternity hospital has an early pregnancy loss clinic, and i might match critirire for it, it says on their website if u have had 2 consequetive 1st trimester pregnancy losses with no living children they will look into things for u, its a public clinic they have, so rang they said if your own Doc can do a few bloods on u first it would be better as i can go straight up and c the consultant, the blood test are progestetone levels, lactin lh surge and fsh, also thyriod test, lupus test, blood clotting test and immunity test, is their any other tests that they can do my own Doc that is. Any advice would be great girls thanks even if tests come back ok i will just feel a bit reassured that their is nothing wrong and maybe it was just bad luck. Kindest Regards Brideofjune6 Re: ttc after a miscarriage
Hi Bride of June6, So sorry to hear of your miscarriage, it is so tough. I am in the same situation as u, just had my 2nd mc a few weeks ago (i was a bit earlier than u on both tho). I just can't believe its happenign to me its so unfair. The 2nd one was so horrible, i am still not over the devestation of it, i mean i was in bits after the 1st but now i have the fear that it'll never work out and there is something wrong.
I'm waiting on an app with a gyne but earliest i could get was june and this is privately. I was going crazy lst week so i was checking out Napro online, they seem to deal with recurrent miscarriage a lot so i rang and got a cancellation for Tues so am lucky. Maybe u can look into them if u get nowhere with your other tests?. I'm just going to see what they say. I know they make u stop trying for a while tho so u can track your cycles so it'll be tough but i guess i amn't really ready to try again yet anyway so might be no harm...I haven't had any tests yet tho so don't have any advice there. Anyway just wanted to let u know there are others in the same boat..i posted a week ago on the main ttc thread asking for good stories from ppl who had 2 miscarriages and then had a baby. The girls were great and i got lots of really positive replies-have a look, it'll keep u feeling positive...look after yourself...
Re: ttc after a miscarriage
Thank u so much l jp for replie, just glad to hear I'm not alone I know a lot of people are saying it will happen again but I don't really know anyone that has had 2 miscarraiges and no living children. I read your post over on TTc section. I'm surprised that some people are still taking protestrone supplements even though their levels are ok thought u might need to get described that by doctor. I don't know much about nypro what is it for. Sorry for ignorance just heard it a few times been mentioned just don't know what it's used for . I would really like to hear what gyne says and does for u. Like u when I do get pregnant again because I know that's not an issue have no problem their I will be so nervous if I didn't have things looked at and some bloods done. Just for reassurance of anything .
Regards Brideofjune6 Re: ttc after a miscarriage
Hi brideofjune6,
You're definitely not alone, I'm 27 and I've just had my 2nd mc too. My 1st was 12 weeks (measuring 9+3) and my 2nd was about 8 weeks. I went private too and it took 2 months for appt, it's this Monday coming so I'm freaking out at this stage... Don't really know why. Will let u know how I get on though. There is a thread called coping ith miscarriage too, I tend to stay away from this one as I'm not ready for the ttc bit yet. Hope your ok
Re: ttc after a miscarriage
Hi Mrsw,
Do Let me know how u get on with gyny thanks, it would be interesting to c what he says or does for u, which forum is "coping with a miscarraige" in was looking in the "lost Angels" forum couln't find it.. A friend of mine is doing a natural remedies course and her tutor use to be a nurse so i asked her to ask her what she thought it was and explain that i have had 2 MMiscarraiges around 8weeks, , she said she has seen it before but she thinks its an estrogene imbalance didn't thik u needed that while pregnant, i thought it was more progestrogene, i thought that is more for when ovulating, well i'm going to get some tests done first to make sure but she said that she could give me herb to take. my doc said the first blood test they would do was fsh, lactin and pregestrone, but have to wait for 1st AF first its seemingly done between CD2 and CD5 of cycle. Anyone know any info on this: Regards Brideofjune6 Re: ttc after a miscarriage

Re: ttc after a miscarriage
Can anyone tell me how long it's going to take to get over this????
Lost our baby on Friday, only 7 weeks so it's not that bad I suppose, but I was devestated, so much so that I had to go away for the weekend I couldn't handle being in the house. So I woke up on Monday feeling good, no tears, and the same on Tuesday then last night the bleeding stopped and I cried and cried, I should feel relief that it's over but I don't. We have a beautiful little boy so I know I am lucky and at least I know we can have children. I just want to be over it.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's a total shock and a horrible thing to go through. It will take a while for you to feel normal again. Almost 3 months on I'm feeling ok but still have off days. My mum had 2 miscarriages over 20 years ago and she says that the pain eases over the years but you never truly forget, it just gets easier. For some, me included, the urge is to rush on with TTC again to try and fix the ache for your baby. I got fantastic support on here and I hope that you do to. You will have good and bad days, it's normal, just don't beat yourself up for having an off day. 7 weeks is early but it's long enough for you to have made plans and now you have to refocus and find other things to look forward to in the coming months. Best of luck and take care of yourself.
Re: ttc after a miscarriage
oh cgkk!
My heart goes out to you. 6 weeks ago today I was told I'd had a MMC. The following couple of weeks were the worst of my life and all I can say to you is it does get a little easier as time goes on. It really & truly is the worst feeling; devastation and heartbreak just doesn't cover it I know, and you wouldn't wish it on your worst enemy. At the moment just concentrate on getting through the next few days and the love you have in your life from your son & DH, and maybe in a wk or two you'll be able to contempalte the future again but don't push yourself now. xx Re: ttc after a miscarriage
Thanks Girls,
Even just being able to say here that I feel like s**t helps!! I spoke to my aunt today who lost a baby years ago and she told me in no uncertain terms that it will take time. Just have to go with it I suppose and not push the issue of getting over it, it will come. (just wish it would come now!!!!) Heres to more babies someday!!
