I'm doing really well this week after a terrible week last week where I put on a load of weight but back on the wagon now and hopefully will be down this week. How do yis keep motivated girls - esp at that time of the month? I lose all self discipline...

[quote="BrideOfRecession"]How do yis keep motivated girls - [quote]

I'm seriously struggling to motivate myself foodwise. Like I was grand at going the gym the past few weeks but I can't seem to get rid of the massive cravings for sugar. Chocolate and biscuits and stuff. I have a treat every single day, now ot a full size bar or anything but a mini bar or a couple of bikkies or a few squares of choc.

The wine is a killer too - all I want to do is veg at home with a glass of vino bit am tring to stick to only drinking fri and sat.

Had a monster headache this morning and feel wrecked so am in 2 minds about the gym but am gonna make myself go - even if I just walk for 50 mins or something and don't get any jogging or anything done it'll be better than nothing.

BOR - have they got a gym in your Uni or are you mainly doing the diet side of it?

I'm the same , have to have something sweet everyday. Tho i find if i drink green tea i don't want a bikkie or anything with it.

Also have cut out pasta and bread.

SunnyK - we've a college Gym that I had to pay for - bats! But I only go for weight training - don't believe in chronic cardio after reading The Primal Blueprint, so I just do a lot of walking. ALso HATE the gym so less time spent in there the better! Love walking outdoors in the fresh air!

Anyone recommend a good work out DVD - I'm hearing great things about the 30 day shred but do you have to do it every day? One that tones you up rather than a cardio dvd. THANKS!

I'm still tryin! Went the gym loads last week, lost the pound I had put back on but was a bit of a savage over the weekend to be honest so that's prob back on! I am in FOUL humour today and in no mood to go gyming it but after 2 days break I think if I don't go this eve I'll get really lazy and skip it all week so I better go and do something, even if it's just light.

BOR I don't really know any dvd's that don't involve much cardio - you are looking for more weights based aren't you?

God when it's all dark and wintery out isn't it hard to eat healthy and keep exercising? All I want to do is go home and get my pj's on and watch a film on the sofa :zzzz:

Is there room for one more?? I weighed myself on Saturday and got a shock. I've gained 1 stone and 3 lbs since the wedding. I've had a really tough month and I've been comfort eating so today is a new start.
I walked for 45 minutes today and I've eaten healthy. Not so bad.
Do you set yourselves weekly targets?
Mine is 3lbs in week one.

I haven't really set myself any target - wouldn't mind losing about 3 lbs but I've so little to lose so even if I just tone up and get fitter I'll be happy.

Went the gym in the end this eve and am definitely getting fitter so that's one good thing.

Always room for one more happieout - well done with the walk and healthy eating... I had way too much chocolate today >:o(
