Hope your washing every night when you get home now ;o)

Eh..........that was the plan... but a wash sat all day yesterday in the washing machine and was never taken out. I'll re-do it this evening and pop them on the clothes horse and do another wash...

I sorted out our walk in wardrobe, and left 6 bags in with St. Vincent De Paul. I also cleared out 4 presses and drawers in our kitchen and got rid of the junk and letters/bank statements that was in them and organised them better. Now I have a press with just Casserole dishes and a press with just plastic containers :o)ll

Tonight - continue with the washing..
Hoover and wash the kitchen floor and shine the worktops
Hoover, dust and wash the sitting room

Hi Stepfords!
I've often read the posts on this thread with admiration and envy for your energy and enthusiasm! Well I finally did something worthy enough to post! Had a phone call at 11 this morning to say a friend who lives two hrs away was in the area and would it be alright to pop in! Well there followed a frenzied hour of sweeping (all the floors) and cleaning (bathroom) and tidying away stuff (boxes of stuff lying around since we moved in ).
It's very shameful - we moved into this rented house six weeks ago and I can count on one hand how many times I've cleaned it. :-8
I keep telling myself that when we are in our own house I'll be better....but I'm beginning to realise that I'm just a lazy sod :weep
So I pledge to take more positive action from now on - thanks for the inspiration Stepfords! :thnk

We've workmen in the house this week and the dust is unreal. I actually can't clean as theres no point, in an hour the dust is back and the floors are manky with the boys walking it round the house...

I hope they are all gone before the weekend so I can put up my Christmas tree... Can't put it up until the dust is gone as I don't want it to matt the tree.

I'm procrastinating. DH and DD are playing the xbox and I'm on the couch giving evil looks to the dust but it just won't go away!! I suppose I'll have to do something eventually. Later ... maybe. :zzzz: :zzzz:

I find a steam mop is great for them. I have similar tiles in my main bathroom and found mopping them left them all streaky, but the steam mop does the trick!

Ahh, cant believe I'm joining the Stepford thread - lol!

Thanks.

I've tried all the Cleaning agents thats meant to put a shine but none do. They must be for already shiny tiles O:|

Well the Xmas trees and decorations will be coming down this weekend... a lot of cleaning to be done after them - they'll be tonnes of green bits of the artificial tree and glitter :duh:

DH and i redecorated the sitting room and dining room last week, they both still need new lights (as does the kitchen). New curtains (in all honesty, i think all the rooms need new curtains) adn the couch needs new cushions!

It will all be done, eventually!
