Most of the dogs in my end of the country roam free. And I'm mostly ok with that

Most people cannot cook and when they post recipes on this forum I often think - Ugh! Thank God I don't have to visit their house. I remember a thread about cooking the perfect steak and people were advising others to bash it with a tenderising hammer and/or put it in the oven to finish it. I couldn't believe people were that clueless. I mean, I knew they did these things, I suppose I just didn't realise they actually believed they were cooking the perfect steak. I just figured people who cooked like that knew they were bad cooks.

I agree! I honestly believe that people who have a fear of dogs are the ones with the problem. In my head, that fear is totally irrational and needs to dealt with, not the dogs.

Ok here goes:

I think the catholic church is like a cult. They pull you in, they brain wash you with "ideals", they take all your money and hold your soul to ransom. The Pope is just about the most egotistical bigoted man on the planet. He's a man who covered up child sex abuse and even allowed it to continue. He asks the follower to pray for the needy while he sits in his castle on his gold throne with his servants. He says that the love between two people is wrong just because they are the same gender but it's ok for his priests to fiddle little kids. He says that contraception is against god's law. ITS NOT GODS LAW YOU ARROGANT PR!CK ITS MAN MADE the same as all the rest of your stupid, archaic, backwards, homophobic laws .... ARGH and breathe.

I have to admit I'm the same with the Italian recipes. Pasta with creamy chicken ... sorry - nowhere in Italy will you find pasta with chicken let alone adding cream on top. Bruschetta is pronounced BRUSKETTA not BRUSHETTA and carbonara is never ever creamy. Its a peasant dish from the south of italy that's made with eggs and parmigiano (not parmesan - that's a makey up American word) oh oh and while I'm ranting pepperoni is the Italian for bell peppers not meat. What you get on your pepperoni pizza is actually called salame. Yes with an e salami with an i is another makey up American word. Phew Sandy thanks I needed that vent.

+1 times a gazillion!

Okay, my unpopular opinion is that all chick-lit should be burned, I'm looking at you Sheila Flanagan, Cecelia Ahern, Marian Keyes, Sophie Kinsella and Jane Green. It is all brain rotting TRIPE and, as a woman, I thankfully in no way relate to the characters in theses "books". Okay b!tches... I'm ready...

Fair City is good!
George Clooney is not sexy.
Country living is way better than city living.
A lot of "foodies" are up their own holes.
That a lot of people who claim to be "broke" are nowhere near skint at all.
That Twitter is sugar.

(this is not written in response to the previous post on Catholicism, just fyi - this is just my own little rant :) ) It wrecks my head when atheists think it's totally okay to verbally bash religion and religious believers. Whether you're a believer or not, it's not okay to cram your views down anyone's throat and I get really sick of people doing it under the guise of being open-minded. If you're gonna pick on one aspect of a person and say it makes them an idiot or whatever it's just as bigoted as being a racist or anything else. And now I'll breathe out!

That we're getting dumber by the day.

Text speak, misuse of the English language, and not caring about that misuse, saddens me and makes me angry. Making mistakes the odd time or not being a good speller are totally different issues. The apathy that people show in this regard makes me think they're stupid.

Not entirely with the fear being the problem. I don't mind dogs roaming but it's area dependant. I live in an estate and have to check for and pick up dog sugar from the assholes down the road who never have their dog in. I have no fear of dogs

My own one is all soaps, without exception, are crap
