Well girls, I am upping the anti.

I have committed myself to a personal trainer for 10 long gruelling weeks. 2 sessions a week for 10 weeks along with 2 classes a week for 10 weeks.

I dunno if I will survive!!

Fair play eefc!!! That's brilliant if you can keep it up!!!

I've been very quiet on this thread lately as I'm really only maintaining the last few weeks!! Had Paddy's weekend...stayed the same weight wise. Then a weekend of nothing...down 1lbs. Then H2B's bday weekend (he doesn't just get a day) celebrations...up ½lb. Then Easter weekend...down ½lb. So I'm pretty much the same weightwise but to be honest I'm really happy with that because believe me, I seriously enjoyed those weekends and certainly didn't hold back!!!

We've nothing on this weekend so I'm going to go for a long walk this evening, and again tomorrow and Sunday with relatively healthy dinners. And get really back into it Mon-Thurs next week...wedding at the weekend so that'll be a disaster!! :-8

Well how's everyone getting on??? I had a wedding last weekend down the country and had an absolute ball. I'd like to say I was sensible in my drinking and food choices but that would be a big fat lie. For the laugh, I stood on the scales when we got home on Sunday and I was 12LB HEAVIER than I was the previous Friday!! I nearly died laughing. But after lots of very sensible eating and exercise, I'm back to the same weight I was this day last week (phew), just shows how much alcholol bloats a girl!

So how's everyone else doing?? I'm really just maintaining lately....have to out a big push on this week and next as I have something on every weekend in May O-O O-O

MrsOC can I just say WOW :eek :eek :eek :eek :eek

Your weight loss ticker says 50lb loss- that is only amazing!! It really is! You must be so proud of yourself- putting me to shame you are!! :o)ll :o)ll :)

That Personal training course starts tonight for me- am going to die! Just want to loose another 12 or so pounds and maintain from there. I ordered my dress on Saturday and am really happy and just think another 12 pounds will be perfect as the dress won't be too big on me (I got to order a smaller size too- thrilled!! )

That 12lbs was definitely fluid retention I would say- don't get too hung up on it!

Aw thanks eefc! Yeah feel great, have to say! But I've had so much on the last few weeks and a really busy May coming up. I really want to lose that last stone but it's proving difficult to stay motivated!! The eating isn't too bad but once I take a few days off exercising it's sooooo hard to get back into it!! Especialyl with the weather like it is today...all I want to do is head home from work and snuggle on the couch :weep

Anywho...we'll get there!!!!! We all need to motivate each other :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll

Ok, Day 1 down on the course and I can safely say I can't lift my hands over my head. It was like torture. Although I hated every second of it I found the session quite short.

So had my assessment after the work out and I can tell you this I wanted to cry. After all the hard work I put in, they told me how overweight I was and that I was a danger to myself (I am 5ft 8 1/2 and size 16- I wouldn't say I was obese or anything!!). I was explaining to them that I had lost 2 stone since 4th Jan (almost) and I didn't even get so much as "a sure thats a start". I was so gutted. :weep I told them I had bought my wedding dress (14/16) and it fits but has more room to be pulled in a bit tighter which is what I want. I only want to lose another stone because i want to look like me in the photos. The response I got was " That's ridiculous, we're getting you to a size 12 by Xmas" Although I love her enthusiasm (kind of :-8 ) I really don't want to be losing so much that altering my dress will mean taking it apart!

So although I am crippled, I am a bit deflated at the whole thing. Maybe they are taking the tough love attitude. She did tell me that I worked quite hard but just felt she shrugged off what I was trying to tell her.

Kettlebells tonight now and another PT session Thurs, Spinning Fri and Spinning and Kettlebells Sat morning. I'll only be fit for bed for the weekend!

Back on track now girlies- lets keep the momentum up and keep the thread bumped up! :o)ll

eefc, you are doing GREAT. Don't mind your PT, I have come to the conclusion that as helpful as they are, they're all loopers. Where's the fun in living your life like that?? Don't let her attitude affect you, to lose 2 stone since Christmas is just fantastic! Well done you. :wv

Eefc, don't mind her!! Some of the personal trainers are soooo unrealistic sometimes. You've done fantastically well so far to lose so much weight in such a short space of time. It's great to lose the weight and everything but there's no point in setting unrealistic goals that are unachievable unless you are 100% strict on yourself and sure where's the fun in that??? We have to live our lives and enjoy it!! We could all be a size 8 if we're living on carrot sticks and water.

Your PT sounds like she really lacks empathy.

Thanks girls :thnk

I have a different PT now on thurs so we'll see how her attitude is. I have a feeling that the PT last night was doing this whole "bad cop" attitude - she's only 23 and weighs 8 stone (she told me that herself!) so not too sure if she is a bit "over enthusiastic" about being so strict!

Thats ridiculous! My personal trainer has never been like that to me at all or ever been judgemental about my weight. If she was it would be totally demotivating!!

About to find out if I have the energy to go on the treadmill or if I will stay on the couch!

oh girls - wait til you hear the update!!

Kettlebells last night- normally our instructor is amazing and she packs out the classes. She suddenly wasn't able to give the class so the mean PT gave it.

To be fair to her at the beginning of the class she said to me- don't worry I'lll take it easy on you tonight- you worked hard last night. So I was like, maybe she is human!!

Kept up with the class using a 10kg weight for the whole thing- the last 3 mins of the class then was 30 reps of all the moves so 30 double swings, 30 single swings, 30 chest pull ups, 30 snatches, 30 over head presses, 30 one arm low presses.... I was absolutely burning in agony in my arms so I stopped for about 20 seconds in the middle and in front of everyone she shouted "quitter in the corner- look at the quitter. Ignore her, don't talk to her. " I was mortified. Only 2 other girls lifting 10kg in the class- the rest were on 6kg or less. I was so annoyed like. No need for that. I don't know whether I should have a quiet word with the owner or not to tell him what she is like. I am sure she thought it was motivational but it was actually really embarrassing.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr >:o( >:o( >:o( >:o( >:o( >:o( >:o( >:o( I'm really annoyed I didn't say anything at the end of the class to her directly.

No gym tonight thank God- I am crippled this morning to say the least!!

Eefc that is nuts! No one should be allowed to speak to you like that.

Are you going to complain? Is there anyway that you could change trainers? Honestly, sure I'm going to PT in Cork and have never ever been treated like that.

On another note girls.. I bought myself a new dress today as a treat and a bit of motivation. My hen is in three weeks and if I can lost 5 or 6 lbs before then I think this will look nice. I bought over the phone so wont be here until Friday so hopefully it'll be nice on. What ye think?

Oh My God that is the most divine dress! Perfect for your hen altogether!! Gorgeous!! And sure look if you don't lose it don't even worry (I am sure you will in 3 weeks like!!) a pair of spanx and you will be away with it altogether!

Might say it to the other girl now this evening- have another PT session but with different PT. Will approach the subject and see.
