We say it time and time again, wedding invitations are so important for your big day as they act as the first point of contact with your guests and remember, first impressions are lasting ones.

Couples are now going to great lengths to make their weddings stand out by sending beautiful, colourful, memorable invitations. Stationery that matches your wedding theme is most popular, whilst other couples opt for simpler colours in order to surprise guests with their wedding colour theme on the big day.

Your perfectly darling, perfectly charming stationery should be sent about eight weeks before your wedding in order for guests to get prepared and make travel and accommodation arrangements if necessary.

You only get one chance to make a first impression, so make it a good one! The same goes for your wedding stationery.

Wedding invitations are an important part of your big day as they are the first contact you have with your guests. Your invitations and stationery set the tone for the entire day, so choose a motif that you can carry throughout your dcor.

When choosing your stationery, you can also get matching inserts, such as RSVP cards, maps and directions, details regarding transportation, hotel information and dress code - see Farrell and Chase’s cute insert on ‘How to tie a bow-tie’ for black-tie weddings.

Your stationery can also be used to reflect your personality as a couple, for instance, you could use movie tickets or create a DIY invite, such as ‘tying the knot literally’ - created by Behance

  • Inspiring Invitations from The Paper Salon

    Tuesday 28 September 2022 - Stationery - Tags: None

How stunning are these invitations from The Paper Salon? I love how ornate each design is and I LOVE how they incorporate my two favourite things...flowers and lace! The use of different textures creates an extremely luxurious and classic feel. Having one of these little pretties turn up at your guest's doors would be the best first impression your wedding could ask for!

  • Our Favs - Save the dates

    Wednesday 6 May 2022 - Stationery - Tags: save-the-date

Some people may find it a tad narcissistic, but lately I'm noticing a trend of photographs in Wedding Stationary. From Save-the-Dates to invites to seating cards to table numbers, photos have taken 'the personal touch' to a whole new level. Be it old family photos found or forridged from nooks and crannies around the house, black and white art house images, couple pics shot off-the-cuff in a photobooth, or DIY photos of cute pets with bows, they're everywhere.

Postcards, bookmarks and fridge magnets...you can pretty much do what you want for Save the Dates so get creative!

  • Our Favourite seating cards

    Tuesday 28 April 2022 - Stationery - Tags: seating-cards, guests

These seating cards are all so jolly and fun and , perhaps more importantly, are great for those who don't want to spend too much on the little things. Deligation is the key to good wedding planning so get some of your family/friends involved too!!!

    Seating cardsSeating cards

Lilac Wedding (l). These double as a little inexpensive wedding favour. Wrap in a little green bow and attached two strips of card -one with the name, one with the table number. Little seats are so darling (r). Probably the cutest thing we found this week, these seats are a perfect way to show your guests to theirs. Made with a little pice of card, the names are on the back of the chair, the table numbers on the bums. Sweetness.

Briefcases and bags. (l) Corkage. (r) Use old corks (or new ones if you've enough!) to place your seating cards. Cut the bottom so they stand upright. Chic.

Handwritten. (l) Get some of your freinds to write the place settings. The more unusual the writing the better. Just make sure they all use the same pen colour to give it continuity! Peg Pinching.(r) If you're having an outdoor blessing before your dinner, why not display your place settings with strings and pegs. You can use domestice pegs or try the WeddingsOnline.ie shop for other colours.
